Up to £171.48 after the other half had a trip to Sainsbury's while I wasn't well. I'm off to Aldi tonight to top us up on some fridge bits (freezer is still good for another two weeks or so), just working out a budget for that because I'm determined to stay under budget with one week and one day to go!
Thinking of a trip to Costco when I'm off work next week. I'm thinking of mainly stocking up on cleaning bits, washing powder, toilet rolls, canned goods and maybe some meat. Has anyone bought in bulk before? Any advice for a newbie?0 -
£1 on eggs and £14.46 in Waitrose so that's £230.21/£250 with 8 days to go, extreme frugalling or going over budget I think, ( probably the latter😠).
We had pulled pork yesterday and will have some more today and I have decided that rather than pile the plates high and give some to the dogs I will freeze a portion or possibly two - I have some of the gravy frozen already. I also did a freezer inventory and have enough meat for about 20 meals. As we eat two or three veggie meals a week. I am going to work my way through what's there, defrost the freezer and start again.
Note to self: DON'T BUY ANY MORE FOOD!!0 -
Finally caught up on receipts - although I have a sneaky suspicion a couple have gone missing.
Large MF delivery today. £55, but reduced from £110:eek:
I'm trying some new stuff - chicken sausages and burgers, some giant meatballs, and some 'Southern Fried' marinated chicken. Also, 5kg of chicken breasts. I think I'm going to start clucking:D
So £205.18 this month so far. Best month so far - especially if I can keep up the NSD's. I do need some fruit and veg today but that should be all. DH is working from home for the next 2 weeks, so I can use up lots of odds and ends that he can't take in packed lunches.
OK. Off to be creative.:rotfl:Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
£1.44 on a lettuce and a bag of mixed peppers which should bulk out salads for the rest of the week. Last shop of May will be later this week as it is pay day on Sat so the new month starts. Hoping I'll be a little bit underOriginal mortgage £112,000 . Final payment due August 2027.
Mortgage neutral achieved August 2020 - 7 years early!!!0 -
Not done any shopping since Thursday
The freezer is running down toward the end of the month, so will have to be careful with next months budgetNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300 -
Had a big mr t delivery Sunday which has finished me over budget for May. Not too bothered, vast amounts being fed and it could be much worse.
Am very cross with the magpie stealing the eggs. So clever!!!!0 -
