£19.31 & £48.49 in Tesco and Lidl respectively which brings me to £214.75/£250 with just over half the month gone, which isn't good! However, I have only to buy fruit, veg and milk for the rest of the month as I have loads of pretty much everything else. The Tesco shop has been justified in my mind as they had double packs of Lavazza at £4.50 instead of £5.70 and I had a voucher for £2 off a £20 spend so I got four packs of coffee and a few other bits I needed so I won't have to buy coffee for a couple of months. This grocery challenge is harder than I thought!!0

Got to nip to the shop tonight to get a few fresh bits for tea. Going to write a list now so that I only get what I need. I'm also starving, which is not good for me because I tend to spend more. Starting to imagine people having cheeseburger heads at work...0

I think you should take £20 from your budget into your other cash, it will only nag you if you don`t.Islandmaid wrote: »Slight cheat today - DS owed me some money (£20) so he bought some cat food and few other household bits - now the £20 lent to DS was not from my grocery budget, so do I add this to my spends or not ?Do I need it or just want it.0
