Eco boiler scheme - 1 Green Place

  • I too am wondering if they are still in business. They have half done a job for me but the work waas poor the electrician did not turn up when promised and now I can not get through to them on the phone and they are not returning calls. So great, I have a boiler at a reduced rate but its wired incorrectly and they have left me with no radiators in two rooms as they disconnected the pipe work.
  • Do not go anywhere near this company. I'm still trying to claim some money back from them after they 'installed' a boiler through this scheme. They were recommended by EON who aren't the least interested in how useless this company is. The heating hasn't worked properly since, after several weeks we discovered they had screwed through a mains wire, other wiring has been left taped together and extension leads used to reach plug sockets as well as a dent in the extractor hood which they deny. Please do not use this company.

    It was E.ON that put me in touch with 1 Green Place.
    There was an E.ON Company Representative posting here.
    He used to advice people with problems and send reports to decision makers at E.ON.
    But no posts from him for many months.
    Has E.ON given up dealing with issues that their customers are facing with 1 Green Place?

    Hello Blue_Max and I can confirm, this thread and others on related subjects have been sent to those further up the food chain.

    At this point, there's little I can add to previous posts. Customers unhappy with our services or those of the sub-contractors we use are best to contact our specialist ECO team. Contact details are on our website. This team has exclusive access to the details of individual jobs and are best placed to advise. General advisors don't have access to this information and will need to pass customers on so easier to go direct.

    To be honest, Helena and myself would like to help more. To this end, I've asked my boss for a better route so we can give Forum users a better steer. Can't promise anything but will do our best.

  • I tried to call the numbers on the 1 green place letters but they just went dead.
    I contacted SSE who I originally went through, I went to their complaints department. They kind of hinted that the business was no longer running and they'd sort it all out for me.
    I said I wanted written confirmation of what has happened including what SSE as a company are doing and what I as a customer should do.
    Has M Lewis put anything up on his website to help us know what to do

    Hi Malc
    Those "further up the food chain" at E.ON must have had a good idea of what was going on from this thread, complaints they received and the info at Companies House. But E.ON continued to recommend 1 Green Place!

    As you can see from my posts above and your comments, the replies received from ECO Team were duff!
    In the light of this, could you pls let us know the objective of contacting your specialist ECO team? Do they offer compensation?
    If they can not, giving hope and wasting peoples time, is like adding insult to injury.
