  • I always have temps all over the place - I had a look at what a "normal" temp graph "should" look like and was amazed!!! However, I have insomnia and a toddler who still wakes sometimes in the night and from what I've read, temps should be taken after ~8 hours sleep (hahahahahahah!!!) so no wonder...

I think I'm Day 15 at the moment and so in fertile week currently. We're BD-ing every other day and started super early on Day 8 so hope we catch this month.

    Hugs for everyone xx

  • I think I may have ovulated late this month. I thought I had ovulation pains at the right time, but my temps were all over the show so I couldn't confirm. This weekend I had alot of CM, so I am wondering if i OV'd over the weekend, but sadly as we were away I didn't temp! If it was over the weekend then we missed the boat as no BDing with friends staying in the same lodge as us! Will have to see when AF arrives to know I suppose!
  • Hi!
I have T2 diabetes. My doctor, who we were treated for infertility, immediately warned us that this disease may be the reason that we can not conceive.
That is why we had to go through IVF. Yes, I had some problems during pregnancy, but everything worked out. During pregnancy, I was done genetic tests for the likelihood of developing diabetes in our baby. The result is still negative, but we will have to pass a check-up annually.
    Good luck to you!

Just been to my docs appointment for the results of my blood test.
They said I've been ovulating which is good & all hormone levels are fine, I'm just low in folic acid - I keep forgetting to take them & tbh didn't realise how important it was otherwise I'd make sure I took it! She's given me a prescription for strong ones to boost them back up.

Just need the other half to get his SA appointment sorted.
  • That's good news about your tests skimper! I don't recall the Doc mentioning my folic acid levels, so I'm guessing that means they are ok! I have been taking my folic acid for a long time now mind so I'm probably overrun with it!

I didn't realise folic acid helps you conceive either to be fair, I thought it was just to reduce the risk of some developmental conditions. At least now you know and can make sure you take it everyday :) If you had not gone for the appointment you wouldn't be making the effort to ensure you take it!

Had my first teary wobble today. It wasn't a full on cry I just had a little teared up. I've had times I've felt low and sad but never tearful, not bad considering it's 14 months on I think!

big hugs PKK. It's horrid when it hits you hard. You're allowed to cry!

Hugs Skimper - I didn't know about the folic acid either. Like PKK I thought it was just for the early developmental stages. I know it's in the "trying to conceive" prescription (here in New Zealand we are prescribed Iodide too - it's a mineral lacking in the soil so it's given as a supplement) but hadn't associated it with being necessary to aid conception.
It can be tough playing the "what if" game.

Hugs for anyone else who needs or wants one!

Obviously you can conceive without it, but I think it can help.

Ovia has predicted a 25 day cycle, which is weird, it's been 27-28 days for the past 6 months at least. Which meant the fertile week was early with ovulation being day 14, ovulation has been at day 16 for months. So we're carrying on the BDing for another few days to make sure we cover everything.

Big hugs PKK, the ttc journey is an emotional one and we all get like that sometimes, it's good to let it out.
