HappyLassie, personally I would test on Friday as I wouldn!!!8217;t be able to wait two weeks without knowing!

Welcome to the thread CCJ! I have added you to the lists, if you let me know your CD I will update it. 6dpo is too early to test. I know it is hard but try and hold out to as close to AF being due as possible. They say it is around 7dpo that the egg implants, and you could potential get a positive, but you would need a super sensitive test. When is your AF due?

Another day of flashing smiley for me! *groan* According to Ovia my fertile week is over now so I have moved to tww. We go away on Thursday to celebrate our first wedding anniversary (Friday) so I think I will keep going with the OPKs until then.
  • Thank you!! How do I work out my cycle day?? Sorry this is all very new for me! Af should be due 31st July. I've just come off the pill from the end of last month. I'd been on it around a year this time. I've been off and on it a few times due to mood swings and AF has always come regular straight away so fingers crossed!!

Aww congratulations on the first wedding anniversary!!

The first day of your period is CD1, then it counts up each day as your cycle continues. Have you had a period since stopping the pill? I would say that Sunday is the earliest you should test with one of the tests that says it can be used for early detection (such as First Response) but if you can try and hold out until Tuesday! :). Fingers crossed as you've only been on it a year that your cycles return to 'normal' really quickly!
  • Thanks I'm on CD20. I haven't had a proper one. I finished the pill pack and had withdrawal bleed as normal. I know it suggests waiting until you've had your first period but I just couldn't wait. We've been together a long time and finally feel like the time is right so I'm a little impatient!!
I am going to try my very hardest to wait until next Tues but I'm not promising lol! When are you due to test??

    Hi everyone,

Sorry to hear of your news Katie, hope you and your OH are looking after yourselves. Sending you hugs.

Haven't been on to update since start of this cycle. I've been feeling a bit deflated this month to be honest. Found out a couple of people I know are expecting and both are heavy smokers etc and haven't given up or seem bothered at all about being pregnant, and are giving it the 'oh we weren't even trying', complaining about not being able to do things etc and I can't help but feel a bit annoyed & demotivated by it as we're doing everything we can, so haven't really been in the mood to post.

I wasn't sure exactly when I ovulated so didn't want to go into the TWW too early, however we did plenty of BD'ing around the fertile week according to Ovia. I'm now on CD37, based on the last two cycles my AF arrived on CD33 so I'm currently 'late'. Have no symptoms at all to speak of, either PMS or PG. Did a test and got a BFN. So I'm very confused. I thought my cycles had finally gone back to normal, so I don't know if this is still a recurring issue from coming off the pill or if my HCG levels aren't high enough for a positive (I've tried the early response tests too), or something else entirely. No idea, just a waiting game I guess. I'm fed up of not knowing what's going on with my own body and hubby just keeps telling me to relax about it. If only it was that easy.

Fingers crossed for everyone else waiting to test! xx
  • Hi Buttermint

I'm sorry to hear how you are feeling this cycle. It does get you down though. A friend of mine had a termination (which is personal and of course entirely her decision) but i felt so bitter about the hole thing and find it really difficult to be around her at the moment.

Its such a pain when our cycles don't follow the routine!
I was last last cycle and got my hopes up for another BFP but it wasn't meant to be - so frustrating!
I have everything crossed for you.
