Thrift360 it is nice to see you back posting. How frustrating for you about that treatment you had, but at least now you have been told everything looks good and the prospect of clomid is a positive thing. I can totally see why your friends situation would very difficult for you to sympathise with. It may be best to say to your friend similar to what you have said to us, that you are not judging and you understand her reasons for wanting a termination, however you are finding it difficult to support her and discuss it with her due to your desire to be pregnant and it taking longer than you though. I would also maybe say that you are only mentioning it so that it doesn't escalate and damage your friendship as you value it too much for that. As a friend that is aware that you are TTC I find it strange that she would talk to you about a termination, it is quite insensitive, but this may be because she is so confused in herself at the moment she can't think clearly.0

Can I be moved to 2ww please? :-)0

Welcome Back Thrift360
A personal question here for all you lovely ladies, but after looking online (just to see what the norm is) how often do you try and BD through the fertile/ovulation window? There is a lot of different advice online, between, everyday, every other day, only once etc. Just wondered what you lovely lot thought.0 -
Congratulations Selement. Fab news.
KatieBee123 sorry to hear about the witch.
I'm having a debrief soon. So hopefully that'll give me some answers.
Can I be moved to if in doubt please.0 -
Happylassie, we try for every other day.0

We're only on cycle 3 so aren't in a 'rhythm' yet but so far we've done every day in FW (although last month I got FW wrong, whoops). I think we'll probably settle for something approximating every other day as we go, although when I get a positive on OPK we do it that day and the next two just to be sure we cover it. And then we usually rest a day and have one last shot!0

Hi Thrift - just de-lurking to give you a virtual hug. I'm not much of a hugger (in real life or on here) - but good Lord, I am very cross for you that you were advised to have the depo jab to help your endo! Depo does stop periods if you have it recurrently, and I assume that was the logic they were using, but you're right in that it messes up your cycles a treat when you come off whether you've got it or not. I had one shot in 2016 at some point before TTC, with endo underlying, and it did me no good either (in fact I still remember having the most horrendous period on holiday with it, endo can trump these things!). I had a 14 day cycle when we were TTC at the start which I knew was pointless, had northisterone to try and even things out (which I'd had many times before when my cycles had got too close together thanks to hormonal contraception, now I know why!) and was at the point where it didn't do the trick anymore so had my lap then. I did catch 3 months afterwards, like you thankfully my tubes were clear of it, it was more that mine was all over my ligaments, no wonder it bloody hurt! I hope the clomid gives you some predictability - thankfully I didn't need it but I'm sure others can tell you a bit more about it.
Oh and a little word to the wise, when (when, not if, think positive) you do catch if it's been not-so-long since your lap, you can get more pain during pregnancy (because everything has already been fiddled with once). I spent a lot of time freaking out because it was painful I assumed that it was all going wrong - when actually your insides are likely still bearing some scars from having the endo burnt off, and now your uterus has to expand rapidly and move to a new position. Obviously take any pain concerns to a GP/midwife, but it was a while before someone explained that to me and I think I may have felt less anxiety if I'd known before. Ironically I had a 24 week appointment with a consultant (again because of endo, it's routine procedure
) who told me this too and explained what pain I may get because of the lap, and what pain not to write off - bit late by that point as the worst of it was over but nevermind!
I'm also cross about your friend, seems incredibly insensitive to me. Though I'm always honest, it was the month I gave up hope and took a "what will be will be" approach that I caught, go figure.
TTC with endo is rubbish, but it does happen, we just need a bit more time and sometimes help with creating the space in our cycle to let nature take its course. There was another poster on here who had graduated when I joined, with endo, now I've delurked too, so that's two of us
Oh and congrats to selement too (since I only seem to come back here to rant!)0 -
Selement - thought I'd pop back on here to say congrats too - its funny how some months you try and try and then others its just the one go and that's all it takes (was exactly the same for us in January)
I hear you about the momentary freak-out when you realise its really positive - did exactly the same, but apparently its quite normal and really its not surprising when you think that up to that point you've just been thinking "wouldn't it be lovely if..." and suddenly in a moment you are hit with "blinking-heck, we're *actually* having a baby!"MFiT challenge #60

Hi all,
I've not been on in about a week so had a lot to catch up on.
Welcome to Tasha as has already been said, everyone in here is lovely and full of useful information.
Selement congratulations! I wish you an uneventful, smooth and decidedly boring pregnancy and birth. How are you and your husband feeling now you've has the news for a few days, has it sunk in yet?
Thrifty Welcome back - I hope it all settles out for you and you can get some BDing in even if it's just for the fun of it.
HappyLassie We've not been trying long but try to BD every other day when fertile and when we feel like it. But if we're not in the mood then don't try to force it.
There's nothing much to report here CD22, AF is predicted to arrive on Friday so I'll just have to wait and see. Patience isn't a virtue I can claim to possess.
