Official Trying to Conceive - Thread 13

Hello all,

I'm a newbie to this thread, can I please join? I have been TTC for just over a year now but only in the last month have started to get a bit panicy that it isn't going to happen for me.

I have downloaded the Ovia app so have been tracking my cycle on there.

According to Ovia I am on cycle day 23 and it is 3 days until testing.

My gosh people! I go away for two weeks and there are FIVE BFPS!!!! Congratulations! Clearly I should go on holiday more often.

As you know I got AF on the 4th day of my holiday. It was horrendous, it was late, and came completely out of the blue. I was in a shopping mall in Las Vegas and it just WOOSH appeared. I had to run to a bathroom and ask my mum to go buy me some new knickers and shorts. Mortifying.

But other than that I had a wonderful holiday. Didn't want to come back home to face our problems. I work in retail and got the news the day I left that they are closing our branch. SIL had a baby girl also the day we left. And I have my infertility tests at the hospital on Tues.

Lots to be occupying my mind.

Glad you had a good holiday Millie. Sorry to hear about the AF mishap, I'm sure Vegas has seen worse though

Good luck with your tests on Tuesday.

Will you be moved to another branch with your job? Hope it isn't too stressful

Argh Millie, hate it when AF does that kind of thing! At least you were somewhere that had toilets and clothes available! Glad you had a good time otherwise. Will be thinking of you on Tuesday.

Sending hugs to those who've had bad news. Congratulations to all the recent bfps especially mancmama! Good luck to all. Not sure I'm going to have much luck this month- was trying to do the SMEP plan but poor OH was ill, even enthusiastic flashing around the house wouldn't do it :rotfl: I'm currently at peak fertility according to my possibility not very accurate app and now I'm ill. No wonder the poor chap didn't want to do it, I can't think of anything I less fancy doing right now

Not much to report from me, been lax temping & tracking this cycle & actually feeling pretty relaxed about it.

I'm a little confused and hope someone can help me. I haven't got a clue how many days PO I am. All I know is that I am currently on CD25 and Ovia predicted my fertile window was between day 9 and day 14 but I have no idea when I OV.

This is the first month I've been tracking on Ovia so I guess all I can do once i enter my next cycle is moniter my body a bit better.

AF is due on Friday and Ovia says I can test from tomorrow. Should i test tomorrow or wait until after Friday?

Sorry for being so vague but I am just getting my head around this whole TTC thing.

Easily hope you feel better soon, think there is a lot of bugs about at the mo. You have a to love a bit of random flashing round the house to try and get the mood going
Butterfly welcome :-) the only way to know when you defiantly OV'D is to temp I think (I have never done this but I know the other lovelies will be able to advise you better on that)! I use ovia also and I track via my CM - isn't always over accurate but we are going for a more laid back approach at the min. I would suggest waiting until at least Friday when AF is due before testing.

We have been BD'ing and DH is happy to go for it every other day over the next two weeks + predicted OV day from both apps. Might have to get my nice underwear out to spice it up a little so it doesn't feel like we are just DTD.
