Official Trying to Conceive - Thread 13

I think we've all thought that Zeni, even women who haven't started trying yet. It's just natural to think about all the possibilities. I can't remember the stats but it's remember the average conception time for healthy couple is something like 12 months. It's perfectly normal not to fall on the first try and as more and more of my friends are open about their journeys, it seems that what appears like a difficult journey is actually pretty common for a lot of us......

Thanks ladies. I know lots of people must feel like it.. it's just seems more real once you begin trying with possibilities of it could not happen.
On positive note my OPK was positive today so looks like I'm Oving which makes sense as having some cramps. Looks like I'll pounce on the OH when he gets home later

ZenI just delurking to say I totally sympathise - I was so naive and never thought it would take us over a year. I'm finding all of my friends really appreciate my honesty - everyone I've told has said they're so glad I've told them so that they can be more prepared if it happens to them.

But equally it's crazy that you just don't know until you try - could be 1 month, a year or much more. And that's a big difference when trying to decide if you're "ready"!!

Hi ladies,

Hope you're keeping well Cats? Not long to go now!

I feel the same zeni - it's reassuring to be part of this thread and know I'm not alone in this. I just really feel that it's going to a long journey ahead.

Finally got a letter about my bloods and they were inconclusive so I need to go back next week for more. The Dr also got the referral guidelines mixed up and I can't be referred to the clinic until I've been trying for a year. I would understand this if I was actually getting to try but with no sign of any ovulation still, I'm a little upset.
If there any abnormalities in the next blood tests then she says she might be able to refer me sooner.
I've started taking agnus castus liquid this week - has anyone else tried this? Seems to have mixed reviews but I feel like anything is worth a go at the moment.

Yes all good thanks! DSM348 I took agnus castus - no idea if it helped but I was willing to try anything! I also did acupuncture which I genuinely do think helped x

Thank you all for the warm welcome back, this was such an important place for me back in 2012/2013,
I'm happy to be back again and hope that what little knowledge I have, will be useful! But Im still trying to figure it all out myself ;-)

Twig, lovely to see you to again! I'm sure I made you laugh with my incessant worrying, sorry!!!

Look forward to getting to know you all a lot better over the next few months, I don't feel like I'll be going anywhere for a while sadly!

So when do you count 'O' day, I had my Clearblue "Peak" yesterday and we did the insemination last night and this morning, but I'm not temping so I don't know!

Hi all

AF is due but I'm thinking I'm CD1. Brown spotting yesterday and just a little pink on wiping today. No symptoms leading up to AF, which isn't normal for me. BFNs for last two days though. I'm not holding out any hope :(

Zeni - I was another who just assumed it would happen quickly and it did but since then, nothing and it's increasingly frustrating. I sometimes wonder if I would have been less disappointed a year down the line had I not experienced that since I probably would have firmly believed we had an issue and so chilled a bit and waited for the help.
