I Love it, its really easy to follow and you can eat normally so its not hugely restrictive..just makes you more aware of not eating too many high cal things like choc,biscuits etc and not having too much bread or cereals. However you can fill your boots with veg, meat, potatoes and pasta making me cook a lot better meals! Id definitely recommend it only been doing it for a month so far so good results too.

I liked slimming world too. Had successes with their plans over the years and now it's not just red and green days, it's much easier. The best I've done was just using myfitnesspal and staying under my allotted calories. Like anything, it will work if you can stay motivated. Well done zeni. Ill pass you a nice cuppa.

just to say you are not alone on the inappropriate questions front. OH and I get it all the time, we have been together for 12 years and people (mainly his family - actually always his family) think they have the god given right to know when we are going to have a family. The last time I was near in tears as it was brought up again over a family dinner - with 20 odd people round the table.

ARGH sorry rant over - but i know how you feel.

I think Slimming World is great, I've had a bad time getting back on it since Christmas but focussed again now. I've lost 1 stone 2 lbs since October and it's made me feel happier in myself.

That's really good Rachy. I joined SW at the beginning of January and have lost 8lb in four weeks. I can't wait to get to a stone albeit I do need to lose a lot more. I'm hoping the weight loss will be more helpful on the TTC front too.

Just waiting for OV here. I'm hoping it's going to be in the next week or so to continue with the shorter cycles I have been having. I haven't booked my app for day 21 bloods at my GP as I missed it last cycle. I couldn't get an appointment, all the blood taking nurses were busy.

And apologies to everyone else. I feel I'm not contributing that much lately but there seems to be a lot of OPK talk and I don't do them so can't really contribute.

Will the nurses not priortise you under the circumstances AthensGeorgia?

I have to call up for my HCG appointment on day 1 of my next cycle which will be due on a weekend and if I have to have it between days 7-10 then it leaves me with a Friday or Monday to have it - very tight window. Whilst I don't expect priority, I'm sure the healthcare professionals should attempt to get people in for these tests in line with the window/timescales required.

After all, a month in our lifes is like a year...

By the way, I now no longer do OPKs or do any recording. Feel a bit lost as I can't keep track of anything but determined to try and be more laid back about it all following advice from the fertility clinic. I am however lucky that my cycles are regular so I know when to expect AF.
