Orange_Candle wrote: »Thanks all - posting from my phone so can't reply individually but I really appreciate the support! Still getting bfns on new internet cheapies, claims a sensitivity of 10miu/ml? But a strong positive on the opks for 4 days in a row?! This is getting irritating now! Tomorrow will be 15dpo which is when I got my very faint bfp last time so I'm still hoping!
I am keeping fingers crossed for you, but wondering if maybe you are ov-ing just now? I have heard that MC messes with your hormones, and its not unusual to have a very long first cycle. Good luck with your next tests (opk or hpt).0 -
Yeah I've been wondering that, but I had a peak opk 2 weeks ago which was 'normal' (one day of peak), whereas I've never had 4 days of peaks before? Apart from when I was pg last time! I suppose I'll know either way in a few days, you may have gathered patience isn't exactly my strong point! I also want to know because we have slapped cheek going round school and I want to go to the gp asap if there's a risk.0

Got everything crossed for you orange_candle
On the cheapie amazon opk's, ive had a faint line today. How long do you get faint ones before your get a strong line? Just wondering if it's a day, a few days, a week before my OV.......TTC #3..........0 -
Thanks twig!
I tend to get faint ones for about a week before I ov, then a couple of stronger days before the positive then faint again the next day. But I think everyone is very different with opks, some have a faint line all the time for example.0 -
Welcome LilyRose and thanks for sharing your story. I have been TTC and posting since January 2016 and felt that I should go to the other thread but it's dormant at the minute and to be honest all the talk of IVF is scary. I've just started the fertility testing route and it's alot to take in. I have an HSG referral and hoping for an appointment on my next cycle which is in 2 weeks. Might need some info about it as I'm terrified.
Very annoying when people ask questions, I know people say they are just making conversation but surely some people are clever enough to realise if a couple have been together for X amount of years then surely housebuying, marriage and kids will have been discussed and will be done when both sides are ready. It's just not appropriate to ask about these things unless it's brought up by them or there is an engagement (if it's wedding questions).
I find it's the same format:
When will you find a nice partner and settle down?
When are you getting married?
When are you starting a family?
When will you have another one? (sometimes when their baby has just been born)
I wish I had a smart answer but I don't. I just try to make a joke of it and say we're not ready yet. Really really difficult now that I'm 36 though(me and OH not married and now we've started down this route then it's on the back burner but people ask ALL the time). I also now get 'don't leave it too late for babies'

Sorry for the rude people in your life, LilyRose and Rachylou. I think its very selfish because unless they live under a rock they must know that having a baby isn't everyone's plan, and if it is it ain't always easy! So they are putting their curiosity ahead of your privacy and maybe your hurt feelings.
I wish I had a good answer to shut them up! I usually go with who knows, maybe, or we'll see, but then I suppose it depends how pushy they are.0 -
