Hi everyone,
Congrats penguin & April!
I'm about a week and a half past ovulation, AF due Sunday, don't have any signs or symptoms that are out of the ordinary.
It's so hard when you hear about people who concieve so easily, however I try to think that elsewhere in other parts of thier lives they could be struggling in areas I'm not so I try to take consolation from that. Anytime I start to get bitter/jealous I try to remind myself that in all other aspects of my life things are very good so I should be grateful. I do think big announcements are sometimes insensitive though. I think when your TTC there's almost pressure to be extra happy for people who do fall preg. It's so easy to get lost in a world of bitterness and jealously I just try to remind myself that I am so early on in my TTC (7 months) Iv not experienced any problems or lossess so I should be happy xx0 -
Thx newthrift, if in doubt would be great for now.....
It's so hard hearing people getting pregnant when ttc and it seems to happen ALL the time. I had also had friends queue jump. It really hurts trying to put on a happy face. You might not always know the struggles they've gone through even if they say it was quick and easy......TTC #3..........0 -

This TWW is going SOOOOO slowly! It's worse because I'm hopeful - desperately trying not to ss, but there have been a few.
Welcome to all the new arrivals, and congratulations and best wishes to Penguin - it's definitely good to hear some good news on this thread.0 -
Morning all, hope everyone is good.
I had such a rollercoaster of a day yesterday. Hubby contacted his GP surgery to check his antisperm antibody levels - igA was 20 & igG was 90. The nurse said that igA is the most important one, but that anything over 50 isn't good (this is the same surgery that previously told him everything was fine in his sa :mad:). Then again she didn't even know if those levels were %, so I think she is pretty clueless about the whole thing. I've done research myself, and it would seem even though the level of antibodies can be high, if the overall sperm count is also high, then there's still a good chance of natural conception. The surgery wouldn't give him all his results over the phone, but from what we can remember we think his sperm count was pretty good.
I then had a good chat about it all with my acupuncturist. She said the same as the consultant, that it's an autoimmune response, but she also said that it's a sign of inflammation in the body. She recommended sticking to what I've nick-named the fertility diet, trying to increase his movement throughout the day (hubby works in IT & sits on his bum most of the day), dry body brushing & coq10 supplements for him to help the sperm swim. She chatted about it being a "joint effort", so even if there is a problem with the sperm, having really good ewcm (which I had last month) will help them on their journey. This lady has travelled far & wide doing years of research on fertility & knows so many experts in the fertility field (including the guy who designed the icsi procedure), and had lots of examples of people in the same boat who conceived naturally, and she's pretty confident I can either conceive naturally, or maybe just need iui. So, all-in-all, I'm feeling so much more positive than what I was this time yesterday. I think we're still in the game, and even if I need to have iui, I can totally deal with that.
Midget very light period can be a sign of hormonal imbalance (pos low progesterone??). I'm so glad you're going to give acupuncture a go, it had helped me so so much & I've learned so much from it too. My lady is amazing, I can't begin to describe how much she had helped me. Fx it helps you.
Baby dust to all, & thanks again to everyone for listening to me, I don't know how I would've gotten through the last week without this forum x0 -

Firebird I ss even when it's exactly the same symptoms I have every month in the run up to af :rotfl: Fx it's good news for you!0 -

I wasn't feeling as hopeful as previous months because of the issues we had had but it's still very upsetting when AF arrives.0 -
