  • Hello,

Just checking in to say had productive afternoon in garden, lawn mowed, bit of weeding done, OH took whole trailer full of carp to the tip.
Walked doggy at twilight, it was lovely, saw a heron fishing, a hare ran right in front of me (dog didn't notice!!!!!!!) and I stood watching six lovely deer for a while.
    Fab.
Now my dog walk has earned me the right to some jaffa cakes, so that's what I'm doing now.
CY, hope you have better day tomorrow x
    See you all later x

Quickly popping in now I've finally got on the laptop.

Yesterday I sat on my bottom and decluttered 2 of my films from the dvr :p Then walked the 40 minute long way round to a customers home which turned out to be a HUGE victorian merchant house thats been subdivided into luxury flats. I felt very under dressed in jeans & a hoodie until she came out in leggings and a hoodie :rotfl:Its a grade 2 listed building, and 2 bed flats in there sell for around £170k :eek: I was gobsmacked and so was DD. I felt like a scullery maid from the pre-victorian era who had sneaked upstairs on Christmas morning to peek :o

Anyways we finished there and went to Mr A, did most of the weekly shop (I need to get a delivery for bulky/heavy stuff), and I came home with roaring face ache. Decided I'd go to the walk-in to see if they could give me any stronger painkillers and just as I was about to leave United utilities turned up. What they thought was going to be a 5 minute job, turned into 2 hours as the blockage wasn't on our property but no-one could work out where the next manhole cover was (its about 6 houses down) but they got it cleared. I went to see my landlady to tell her in person it was sorted then we went to the walk in....at 9pm at night!

The triage nurse in the walk in literally went "its dental? We can't do anything" and handed me a slip of paper with the out of hours dentists number on it! At this point I was shaking, boiling hot and almost in tears I was in so much pain and the nurses face was saying "why the hell are you here? You're just wasting my time, get lost" I went to Mr T (more or less next door) and spoke to the pharmacist there who gave me strong aspirin and some pointers, so I bought more paracetamol & some mouthwash. Came home and went to bed exhausted. Spent the night tossing and turning, but phoned the number at 8am this morning. I got an appointment for 2pm.

Walked to the dental appointment (buses didn't run by it from where I live and it wasn't that far), arrived half an hour early, filled out the forms and waited. My appointment time came and went. Then the nurse came out saying they couldn't find my forms so could I fill out another set. Finally got in to see the dentist at 2.45pm to be told the problem was actually a leaking filling so they'd have to drill it and the foreign body bits out, kill my nerve then pack it and fill it with a temporary filling. Now I don't like needles (or the dentists for anything other than a check up, but I know it has to be done) but he didn't know...and now to flylady code: So he came at me with a BIG needle to numb my jaw at the back, I went 6" up the seat in pain as he did it. He did another under the tooth that was problematic and I went 4" up with that and nearly ripped the arms off the chair! He waiting until I couldn't feel my mouth, then drilled the tooth, I nearly went through the ceiling as he went so deep & too the nerve, then he killed the nerve and I nearly went through the roof until the pain subsided. He's cleaned & packed & filled it. For the first time since my tooth extraction, I actually cried out in pain while in the dentists chair!

Any way, when I got home (we walked back as I was feeling great!) I went through all the clothing/towels/household stuff ready to wash it all. I have no idea how long the drains were blocked (the fella said it looks like weeks if not months worth!) and I know some of the stuff has smelt dodgy so now I feel I need to wash everything properly :o Load 4 is in and I'm going to carry on with drying stuff while DD has her shower etc. Because she came with me on Friday to have a shower at my parents, then yesterday and today she's lost lots of valuable homework time so she's only just finishing it :o

I have my busy paid week coming up so I don't know how much flying I'll get done, but I will get some done. See you all on the new thread!

    Morning

Do we have a new thread, and I have missed it.

    Any way
Long list is going to be got on with, so I will be missing most of the day, as I am finding I am spending too long wandering the threads than doing any thing, and therefore wasting time, at night I am telling OH well I've not had time............my time has been in the wrong places, if that all makes sense.

Nikki hugs and glad the drains are finally sorted

    I'll be back later x
