Big (((hugs))) to Valli - thinking of you and the person you're concerned about.
Hope your drain is sorted soon, Nicki.
Pigpen, how have you got on with the druids? Nice to see you posting!

Thanks for safe journey vibes for my DH. He was home at about 5.00pm, which was good going on the A14/M6 on a Friday afternoon.

I finished cleaning the house - until DH returned (having slipped over in a very muddy car park) and trod mud in everywhere downstairs and all the way upstairs  Why can't some people think ahead? Words were had, and he went off in a huff to his wargames club this evening, even though it was me that had brought him clean clothes, made him a cuppa, scraped the mud off his filthy shoes, washed his jacket (he had broken the zip on his jeans, so they went straight in the bin), hoovered for the second time, and put his tea in front of him.

Ah well, I have managed to make some progress with planning my essay today and am looking forward to another peaceful day tomorrow ;)

Hugs to Valli - tact is a word I find people have very different interpretations of.

    good to see Piggers posting!

Ionafan - if DH (or DS for that matter ) had done that then you would have heard the explosion...

Prescription acquired with no problems. Stuff should be at the chemists by lunchtime. My ongoing problem with supplies is going to be that a week is 7 days but supplies comes in packs of 10. I shall have to be on my game...

So I walked down to the doctors and chemists yesterday ( DD2 came with me to check I was ok )and then a friend came round for a cuppa and a natter. Quite a busy day for me, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Hugs and drain sorting vibes to Nicki....

Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend..

I dread to think what's been said to you Cycling.

Everyone else has been positive and upbeat and told me about people they know who have beaten it. She also thought I should get checked out, told her it's not a genetic one and got "even so..." As it happens I received an appointment and have rescheduled for a time I can attend for boob squashing. Flylady secret code follows

I have dyed my hair as we are having pre-chemo photos tomorrow. I did wonder if I was being tactless but we are dressing in our best togs and having a professional make up artist work on us. Apparently it will take 20 minutes each.

I have pegged out some washing -it's dry and sunny here, and emptied the dishwasher and tidied the kitchen and washed a few pots.

Hugs Valli, some people just don't think of putting brain in gear before they engage their gobs! Have a lovely time at the photo session.
Glad you got the meds and prescription sorted CY.
Grr to Dh mucking up your hard cleaning work Iona.
Drain sorting vibes, get well, stay calm and coping vibes where needed

Just loaded up all the stuff for the CS run and will pick some of mils up on the way out.

Went b&q but they hadn't got what we wanted at a price we were prepared to pay so are rethinking the door blocking off plan for now.
Ally just want a panel of marine ply to blank off the garage back door which is never used then I can fix a trellis over it. But didn't really want to pay £50 for a piece of wood that needed edges sealing to be used outside.

Loaded wm s weather looks ok here, just going to finish a cuppa then will get on.

    Have a great weekend all.

Thanks all for the thoughts/vibes etc

We went up to my mums yesterday, both had showers and did some laundry. We now have clean clothes for about a week so should be okay. We can have wash downs & wash hair over the bath using the shower if necessary. Thankfully its a deep bath lol I'm still washing dishes etc, but just chucking the water on the flowerbeds once it's cool, and trying to make stuff which doesn't produce much washing up. We had chippy last night, and since I have to make a delivery tonight to a customer we're going to pop into Mr A for the weekly shop on the way back so may just buy a ready meal or get a takeaway on the way in.

Just to add to my fun I have raging toothache from grinding my teeth in my sleep but our dentists isn't open until Monday so I'm taking painkillers regularly to minimise the discomfort. I'm going to see if the pharmacist has a mouthguard I can buy to try and help temporarily. :( For now it's time for an icepack to try and reduce the swelling while I wait for another 90 minutes before I can take more painkillers. I wish I could taken ibuprofen type meds but they make me ill :(
