I'd be more concerned about the plumbing. :rotfl:And I don't like the blue tiles in the kitchen.

The history wouldn't bother me, but you could get some very weird 'tourists' and I guess for resale in future it's worth considering it obviously bothers others.

    Hi all

I have placed an offer and after reading a guide to buying house it was mentioned i should check to ensure no one has been murdered or died in the house

How can one find out? Typing full asdress in googleand search?

Our 35 yr old son died in our house on 31 January this year, less than 2 months after a cancer diagnosis.

Should this happen to one of your loved ones in the future in YOUR home, then this moronic question will bite you right in the a...!
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

Having posted on your thread with genuine sadness and sympathy i don't think this is aimed at yourself. As raw as that may be.

Many people ( myself included ) deal with death in a moronic humorous way. It's our way of coping and is in no way intended to be disrespectful.
  • This has got to be the funniest thread I've read in a long while!!!!
It's certainly brightened up my dreary Sunday!
Sorry if it is a genuine question but I'm baffled as to why you would be bothered?

In the Sykes v Taylor- Rose case there were missing body parts suspected to be still hidden in the property.

I tried the googling thing and got reams of information about when it was last for sale and company directors but nothing about my father dropping dead in the bathroom. So I don't think the advice about people dying works.

    Or ask the neighbours.

Cross 18 Crown Hill Bristol off your list.
    And 108 Ocean Ave.

Always worth googling the place you are buying. Houses can be famous for all sorts of reasons.

This terrace house near me was where Pakistan was conceived, although the current owners didn't find out until after completion:

My house was built in 1700. I reckon a good few people have died here. Including the previous owner who fell down the stairs ending up on the living room floor.

Never been bothered by it. Although there are a few strange noises in the middle of the night. But ghosts dont exist so that doesnt bother me either.
