It is on mse guide, would u move in to a house if someone was murdered there?0 -
That says murdered, not died, a different kettle of fish altogether. The reason you want to know this is because a house where someone was murdered, especially if the murder or murderer was locally infamous, may attract vandalism and/or 'tourists' which are best avoided.0 -
So how can someone find out?0

There is a significant difference between buying a house which was the scene of a murder, and one which has merely been the place where someone passed away.
I can think of one such property in the city where I used to live, which needed a name change before it was sold, but that was a very well-pubicised murder, which remains unsolved to this day.
In short, this guide you've read is either quite bonkers, or you are taking its advice out of context in some way.0 -
Hi.
I would like to take a trip into London for a few days. Is there any way I can find out if someone died or was murdered there?
I am an idiot by the way.0 -

No, the reason why you might wish to know if there had been a murder in the house is because it tends to effect the value.

Don't forget suicides too!
A friend of mine bought a house largely because it had a lovely balustraded mezzanine level overlooking the living room, found out soon after moving in that a previous owner had hung themselves from it!0 -

Well possibly that too, but having experienced living in a neighbourhood with a 'murder house', it would routinely get graffiti'ed by local yobs and random people would show up and take pictures of said graffiti and try to speak to the owners (who were nice normal people in a time before Google existed).0
