Hi everyone,
The weather here was fabby, my OH is working 9am until 10pm, so I've had to do everything. It was my eldest DD's firsr day at Secondary School (are they still called that?), she was fine. I just shouted at her as she has put a profile on Bebo with pictures of her baby cousin. She is driving me mad just now.
Anyway onto O/S - We made pancakes for breakfast, I have made a chickpea ratatouille for dinner with homemade bruschetta and wild rice. I am about to make a traybake and flapjacks for lunchboxes. Dried three loads of washing on the line and been to the library. Petrol has gone down here to 94.9 a litre, it hasn't been that price for months, so that can't be bad can it?
The kids are about to have a bargain ice-cream from Lidl for their pud, then it will be chaos for a couple of hours before they go to bed.
HAGD everyone!A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

Evening all,
PennyPincher...huge hugs, you are usually so positive..hope that you feel better soon.
Have been continuing the big clear out in my bedroom, will have to be a little more ruthless in the clothes chucking, as my wardrobe is big but full..maybe if I get round to finishing the paper stuff I need to shred things will look a little better.
Eventually made an appointment to have my hair cut to-morrow morning...much of it fell out last year when I went on anti-depressants and then when it grew again it was CURLY. Don't mind that as I know longer look as if I have slept standing on my head when I first get up, but I have no idea what I want to do with it so will be at mercy of stylist. If I am not heard of here for several days the strange sound you hear coming from the west will be me!
Kyle...take it easy as you need to be in top form for Florida.
Hugs to those of you missing your 'babies' who have returned to school...hugs.
Baked haddock, oven chips, mangetout (HG) and cauliflower for dinner to-day...too lazy to make cheese sauce so I just sprinkled some grated pecorino on top...very tasty.
Would be afraid to weigh myself as I haven't exactly been a model of rectitude where the diet is concerned for the last two days...I seem to have developed an aversion to water, which has always been my favourite drink, so am not drinking my eight glasses a day either....tomorrow...
Kitkat...almost forgot...congratulations!
Hugs to all whom I have forgotten to mention...too late in the day!

(((hugs))), (((hugs))) and more (((hugs))) to PENPIN - I do hope your new tablets stop making you feel so bad.
CATOWEN - you must see your doctor about your TATT (Tired All The Time). You might not need tablets - you may be anaemic or something but it's obviously affecting you so, please, please, make an appointment. There's nothing worse than feeling drained and exhausted all the time.
Happy Birthday to Master TIRED MUM
HESTER I think TIRED MUM's idea about photocopying the ground rules for your lodger is brilliant. You could have a copies all round the house and, also, send it to future lodgers so they know beforehand what can and cannot be expected of you.
Thanks to everyone for their birthday wishes and cakes!! Much appreciated. I'm really going to miss you all while I'm away.
I've just been cooking and freezing all the leftovers before I go away and the grandchildren came round to give me lovely cards and pressies; I sent them back home with the rest of the cakes and the fruit from the fruit bowl so I haven't had to waste anything. Before OS, I dread to think what I would have thrown away!
STRESSEDOUT - I'm so pleased you perservered with the knitting - they'll be no stopping you soon. I'd hate anyone to give up on knitting - it's so soothing and is an ideal way of making presents.
LILMISSKITKAT - Many congratulations - how romantic. You must keep us up to date with your wedding plans and, if you're short of bridesmaids, there must be about thirty on here!
Well, packing is almost done, taxi is booked for 8.30 tomorrow morning and alarm has been set. I will have a last 'fix' on here in the morning before I go. Not sure what to have for dinner tonight because all the food is in the freezer now! Probably be boiled eggs and soldiers. Nice and easy.
Well, I must go and get the last bit of washing off the line and iron it, park the car up on the drive and check that the shed is locked. I'll call in later.

I have just posted a huge one tonight - it has totally gone. Sorry.
Mum's operation tomorrow postponed - now back to original date of 11th September!
Hope you are all OK - I am now totally frazzled and very tired and upset about the postponement. At least I was able to speak to her tonight in hospital.
Big warnings for anyone up here in Scotland - Forth Bridge roadworks starting this weekend plus they are starting to close down the A8000 and bring on stream the new road system - take care.

Evening all!
I'm sooooo tired from work, arghhh!
Just been watching Hollyoaks, quite a sad one tonight.
Got a chicken in the oven, something simple tonight, probs just with mash and veg and some gravy, yum.
Not been able to think much with work tiring me these past few days, but hopefully after a couple of weeks I'll be able to think something other than 'schoolschoolschool'.
Might get my hair cut on Saturday for a bday treat, then OH's DM and DSDad are taking us out for dinner-had better get OH to book my hair tomorrow as I have no planning lessons where I can squish in a call to the hairdressers, and by the time I'm back from work they are shut!
Congrats to Kate and am sending hugs to those who need/want, esp PenPin!
Oops, I got distracted and wrote this nearly an hour ago... blast my mushy brain!!
Have a good evening everyone!

Hi!
PennyPincher big hugs on their way to you.
Kate Congratulations on your engagement!
Kyle Hope you get your son's diabetes sorted out, it must be a constant worry to you. Had my first experience of diabetes with the old lady next door over the weekend and didn't realise just how complicated an illness it is. She's still in hospital as her blood level/count reading was 26 when the paramedics got to her.
Well I actually managed to get to the gym for a swim, some much needed exercise! Then I came home and gave the house a good clean/mop/dust/hoover etc
DD1 (10yrs) has been asking to have her long hair cut into a bob, so I gave in and after school the deed was done. The hairdresser did a lovely job and she's delighted with her new hairstyle. She looks so much older and more like me!
I'm finally back in school tomorrow and as the lady I job-share with hasn't phoned me tonight, I'm hoping that the new group of children have settled in and there aren't any major problems (fingers crossed). I'll let you know tomorrow.
