OS DAILY WEDS 5th AUG

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Wed %th Sept. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

went to bed at 10pm, been awake since 1.30 oh woke me up snoring, ive moaned, kicked, punched and threatened to leave him so in the end i got up !!!!.. emptied and refilled dw, wm on !!!!!!!

frogga... ive had a bad, naughty .. i wanted to eat the contents of the fridge day. so becouse im going out for a chinese on thursday ive decided not to start my diet till friday.

has anyone been watching Dumped ?

well im off to have a read , then attempt to go back to bed or the sofa..
i have to wake oh up just before 6am.. he wont have a clue why i will be so grumpy !!!!!!! me thinks i might put something yucky in his sarnies !!!! lol !!!!!

Goodmorning Amie & everyone else,

Hope you got back to sleep ok. It's been a wet and windy day here. DH just got home from work and I"m going to paint soon. I didn't have any brushes the other day and he bought a new one for me. :rolleyes: How sweet of him. He's finished my linen cupboard so it will be nice when I can use it.

Making a lentil lasagne for tea tonight. Using ricotta cheese instead of white sauce though. Made some choc chip cookies & a loaf of bread this morning & of course boiled the lentils.

All the birds have eggs atm. Plover's & the curlews & of course the magpies are swooping again. Well better get a move on. Hope you all have a great day. Byeeeeeeeeee

Morning. I had a rough nights sleep, too much spicy food and wine perhaps? Anyway I start work today in a new office, so looking forward to travelling only 4 miles not 18. Loads of moving things to do and setting up shop so to speak.

OH car passed the MOT yesterday after a few jobs. My Neighbour is a mechanic and did the more technical jobs for me and also got me 2 brand new Michelin tyres for only £15 each. So got away cheap really.

Nightmare week for organising. The kids all go back to school on diffferent days. One went to college on Monday, another on Tuesday. My OH goes back to school today and the other 2 kids go back on Monday. I recon it should all be standardised. It's stupid. We have to find people the watch he kids now instead of them being at school.

Good Morning all!

I think you'll hear the scream across the country when my DH gets up to find I've butchered his 'job' of sealing the kitchen sink. He did such a bad job of it, I've taken about 1/3 of it off - he can take the rest off tonight and I'll seal it when I come back from London. He spread the stuff way too thick and about 1" wide - it'll all get peeled off in about 2 weeks if I leave it, and be an even worse job to replace. It's all over the edge of the sink, and across the counter top.

And boy am I glad the tube is running today - it should be back to normal by the time I reach London.

hope you all had a restful night, just a quickie as the tadpoles are back to school today so I'm not in the best of moods! ~ I really HATE it when they go back. We have such a laugh in the holidays ~ oh well, no point dwelling!

Aime ~ fri is a great day to start. It means you've only got 1 day and then it's the weekend!:T

Wet and miserable here today, but at least the last couple of days have been good, so all the washing dried

Work today, cooked some pasta last night, so will have that with tuna salad for lunch. Sounds healthy until I add lashings of salad cream :rotfl: Jacket potatoes for dinner, but will spoil that healthy option with a curry filling - I will never lose weight

Good Morning all
I seem to have no chance to get on the pc at all now, as the lodger hogged it all yesterday evening. She put a call out for me 4 times at work, via reception, twice she wanted a fax sent, then she wanted me to take some stuff home for her & lastly she wanted me to give her a lift to the bank. The receptionists said she is a PITA, she askes for something to be done & is back within minutes, expecting it done, she seems to forget there are 250 staff members & only 4 admin staff to do work for all of them.
I have to go or I'll be late for work, hugs to those in need.

Can I suggest that you have a word with your lodger again - she sounds like a right little madam, and if she isn't careful she will get taken down at work in a nasty manner....................... And remind her again you aren't a taxi service!

Aime - sorry you had a bad night. I've not been watching dumped, but heard it's all a farce and they were given £400 worth of food to keep them going and that they all put on weight during filming as they ate so much!!!

At work, although not feeling the love today. Holiday brochure arrived yesterday. Looks like it would be around £450-500 each for me and two friends to go where we want. Not sure if any of us can really afford that. Have to wait and see what the others think

Hoping to get to the bank later to deposit some money and also hoping mortgage man will tell me I can pay the solicitors so they can start the searches on my flat.

its dull and windy here, quite warm though, it was dry yesterday so i was round the village three times between going to the school and the post office
hope betsy car is okay today, she was spluttering a bit going up the hill to work yesterday, came home okay though so fingers crossed, the car aussielass not me, 70 indeed, hope all the hair comes off your paintbrush

poor kyle, dh getting a speeding ticket, just before their hols too, bet his ears took a bashing last night

smokybabe what a shame sending your dh home and after having everything sorted out too, you need to have a word with your GP see if he can sort things out

hope all the children got on okay yesterday at school and nursery
