The reason so many people sign up to it is quite simply because there are lot of people who can't be bothered to give websites even a cursory glance before committing themselves to a service.
Some of those Trustpilot review are quite frankly written by morons.
Nope.Just nope.
It doesnt matter if in your opinion some of the reviews seem like they were written by morons. The fact of the matter is the site looks like the gov sites and it is not by mistake. Taking advantage of people who aren't quite as vigilant as people like yourself.0 -

is this the site?
how can anyone mistake this for the real site?
The OP thought it was and so did others in the thread. I also pointed out that many on trustpilot thought it was. It doesn't matter if you (and the other people) who think it is obvious because there is plenty of cases of people who do. What a strange site this is...0 -

there are people that pay for free EHIC cards, there are people that pay $99 for an ESTA instead of $14...usually it is due carelessness.
Reading before buying is recommended....as well as avoiding the search results on Google that have 'ad' next to them as they are paid adverts. You will generally find the official site as the one below the paid ads0 -
I do my own MOT reminder for free, it's easy to do just put a note in your phone's calender or use the MOT part of .gov to see when it's due.0
