To cut a long story short, I have taken out a new deal with VF over the Phone.they sent the the wrong phone and will be sending out a new one Monday, when dpd deliver the correct one the VF cs said give the other one to the driver. My neighbour will doing this for me , i haven't even opened the wrong one They sent , so don't know if there's a returns envelope, or does the neighbour just hand it to dpd as it came. Also will my neighbour need to get some kind of proof that dpd have received it.

I have got the energy/patients to fone cs for clarification

Whatever you or your neighbour do, make sure you get a receipt.

Spoke to VF cs today, she wasn't sure , I said I will need a receipt from dpd, what happens if the driver does not or can not issue a receipt, she said the fact the driver will exchange the new set for the wrongly delivered one will be proof... Yeah right! I have no confidence in VF and can just see it going t1ts up

It's my neighbour that will be dealing with them, as I'll be at work.
She's oldish and doing me a fav, all I exspect her to do is open the door, exchange the phones (get a receipt if poss) close the door , then carry on what she was doing

Could you not arrange to do the swap the phones yourself or drop the 1 you want to return at a DPD depot and your neighbour accepts the correct phone for you ?

I'm at work during the day, the nearest dpd depot would be 50 mile round trip

    You can't make it up.

Received a sms this morning, " there is a slight delay in your order, no need to to do anything, we're be in touch "

So get home from work, the neighbour has not had visit from dpd as I exspected.. I spoke to cs (fourth time in 5 days) and they established the phone is out of stock, I said why did you say you will deliver something that you haven't got and should of checked before giving me ( in this case my neighbour who has waited in for the second time)a delivery date, he replied with some bs,basically blamed the system. I asked if the next delivery could be done at a store " no sorry we can not do that, it may get misplaced " ok then can you ring stores in my area and see if they got one, if so I will go there and exchange phones, " sorry can not do that either". Ok can I speak to your manger? " you will have to log a call back which be with in 72hrs" unreel , A massive company like VF and it seems like it's run like bunch of incompetent amateurs!
It's been a complete balls up from when I took the upgrade with there retentions dep, I was going give them the benefit of doubt before post a thread about it... But getting close to pulling the plug all together

Have you asked if you can complete this transaction in store?

Don't! for all the hassle you could get a significant discount, similar happened to the wife and ended up with an 85% discount
