Gers I think you'll get your cooler weather !
Judi Very unwise of SB Energy to pick this time to try and add an unwarranted increase to your account . I would love to be a fly on the wall when you contact them , I would not like to be the call handler if they argue with you !!! Good luck and look after your self .

Woke up to brilliant sun this morning , not very warm and all sorts forecast for later but at the moment it's good to see .
I was due a delivery next Monday but luckily checked my emails before coming on here . They are going to deliver today . I can't get any sense from the company re a time slot , told anytime to 9pm so that's me on delivery watch . I think I'll get on with freezer cooking I would like to be in the back garden while the sun is out but it's to long a run through the house if the bell rings .
I don't know if anyone else has adobe flash player but I had an email from malware bytes telling me flash zero day attack ransomware has caused an adobe emergency update so I need to consult the offspring who does these things for me - I am such a wuss !

How lovely of your OH and enjoy being able to branch out. The lamb sounds delicious.

    Gers

Glad you are on the final leg of the journey home.

I am having a really lazy morning as the next week is likely to be hectic with bedroom and living room being decorated and deciding on new kitchen and bathroom. Boxes and chaos everywhere at the moment and realised I was down to my last toilet roll (I have at least two dozen somewhere in a box but heavens knows where)
so had to dash to the nearest shop to buy a large pack.

I have home made butternut squash soup for lunch and am making chicken and veg soup for tonight. Determined to lose some of the weight I put on over the last three weeks.

I have a tester pot of paint to try on the bedroom wall so fingers crossed I like it

    Hugs to all.

Hello everyone, I have been busily beeline today, lots of washing done, bathroom mucked out, knitted part of a jumper for friend's granddaughter and just doing some office catchup now, having a hot drink break.
I am suffering from a sad case of idontwanttoitis.
Im indoors has been shopping and put a lot of it away. Not quite all he left the milk out, why??? He has bought some wine, that'll be to replace the wine he poured for me the other day and he promptly knocked over, all over me and the carpet.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

    Afternoon all
We are home from our holidays, we had a lovely time and despite being wet and cold most of the time, the only bit I didn't enjoy was the half an hours sleet we had one day.
The washing machine has been working overtime since we got back, I'm just hoping for enough dry weather to get it all on the line.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Hi all,

Hugs to those who need them xx

I woke at 2 am in absolute agony with my neck, by 9 am I gave in and we went to the 'drop in' GP Center at the local hospital, I hate wasting their time, but I was in tears... They perscribed me some co-codomal (sp) and I will go to the chiropractor ASAP - my vertebrae in my neck twist round fairly often, but they think I trapped a nerve this time. I am the most bl@@dy minded patient, so poor DH is on house duty, with me grumbling at him - love him to bits X

He,s wrestled some steaks from the chest freezer, and we'll have them with fried padron peppers and a jacket spud :).

Hester, we keep saying we,ll do a canal trip, time to stop saying and start doing, once funds allow ;)
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

There was a knock at the door earlier as I was about to step in the shower so I grabbed my bright pink towelling full length robe (very stylish ;) ) and answered it.

It turned out to be a charity person who wanted me to sign a direct debit on the doorstep. I suggested if they had a leaflet and left the form with me I would consider it but they said they had to have the form signed now. I ended up saying that I would never sign a document on the doorstep and that my family would be very worried for me if I did.

I feel a bit mean now but I am sure that there would be more and more demands for money and I want to circumvent that.

Having a big bowl of home made chicken soup to cheer myself up.

I hope the pain lessens soon.

    Hugs to all

Elona good for you! If asked, I always just say "I don't do business on my doorstep, leave me the paperwork and call back tomorrow".

Just done a min-shop at lidls and only spent £7.18 :):):) quite pleased with that as I don't need a great deal.

I too would never sign anything on the doorstep for anything at all. I am always surprised at the 'chuggers' in Maidstone High Street that seem taken aback that I won't give my bank details to a complete stranger in the street !!!

I think not.I know which particular charity I support and that's the one I shall always support .Much as I agree charities are finding it hard most people can only support the ones they want to.

For obvious reasons I support the cancer research as I have gone through it myself. I also send a cheque to the British Heart Foundation at Christmas, and also the Sally Army and that's it.Money can only streeetch so far in this day and age. Elona you were very polite I'm afraid I would have sent them off with a flea in their ear especially if I was on the doorstep in my dressing gown :):):)
    Have a good evening everyone
