Oh I hope not, my poor niece. The family had a stall at the Victorian Extravaganza in Llandudno last weekend to try try and jog peoples memory.:(

Just read further into the thread and thank goodness it isn't Michael so there is still hope but so sad for the gentleman's family. Hope both Avril & Michael are found safe and well soon.

We've still got another day or so before we start thinking about a new thread

    Evening all :D

Good, because I've just thought about it before arriving just now on this thread. I wondered whether 479 pages (which has become 240-odd on signing in) would see people moving sneakily to a new thread. I don't know if I'd be permitted to start one (tomorrow), for my hard work as it would be 'convenient' to start a new M list off then.

So I'm here - belatedly as ever. I bet you are all waiting for the only authoritative and complete list of all those RTC items. I did notice last night about what had been posted and, today, tried to cheat by taking a list of all of them to M. It would be typical if the only time I don't go to M, M does the biggest clearance ever and puts a whole lot of items onto cheap prices. I've attempted to do a collection across five stores today. The problem is that attempting to anything completely takes a longer time - hence my usual belatedness. More so, however, I suspect that I've managed to find about 1% of the items that are on good RTC. Anything I have found is purely by chance and from me happening to be in the right place at the right time and just happening to come across an RTC SEL. I suspect that I have walked past items, in five stores, unaware that they are on RTC because none of the stores at all has put that up on the shelf and there is no way of knowing just from the shelf - or, even, from knowing from this thread. I suspect we are all missing items, even with information gathered from hotdeals and other sources.

So what have I found? I've concluded, probably surprisingly, that there is, overall, little change in M this week:rotfl:. The key word is "overall" - in other words, in M taken as a whole across all its 500+ stores and giving little weight to an item that is only found in a very small percentage of Ms. I think people are looking at the detail, of their own store, and finding items and assuming that they are generally available at the price they find in their store. Instead, I am looking at the bigger picture of what might be available across M overall. The Bitesize Shredded Wheat 750g is, supposedly, 79p down from £3.15. However, all stores in which I have the product are showing full price on the SEL and, whilst I understand one person has said their SEL showed full price but it scanned at the RTC price, I have scanned the product at the SS in two different stores and it has scanned in both at them at full price:(. I'm therefore thinking that some of these RTCs are store-specific and, whilst the prices might be RTC prices in the stores that have those prices, generally they are full price. I can't really account for items that might be on RTC in a few stores but which generally are full price.

I thought I'd massively overpaid by comparing to T at £1.59 before:(. However, it now seems the 750g at 79p is not available to me. Instead, the best I can do is Bitesize Shredded Wheat 500g at £1:(. Mornflake Chocolately Squares (500g) have also gone down to £1 fwiw (not an RTC but an offer).

I think the range of RTC items that you have will be different for every M. We know that every M has a different range. It seems to me that M may have made its best offers, in effect, available to only a small number of people. Of course, in theory all those offers are available to me as, if an item was on RTC in the Outer Hebrides, from which I am several hundred miles away, I could, in theory, travel there to obtain it. However, realistically and in practice it is prohibitively expensive, both in terms of cost of the journey and the time taken to travel it, to the ordinary person and therefore, in effect, the offer is restricted to a smaller number of people even if in theory it is open to all. I don't know if people have had much success obtaining items in their stores these items reported as being on RTC? Some of them at least are not on RTC in my Ms.

The Green's Lemon Pie Filling is supposed to have gone down in price even further and I've no doubt in some stores it has since photos of SELs showing the lower RTC price this week have been posted. However, for me it scanned at full price 54p - therefore even worse than last week's 40p "RTC"! As far as I am aware, from my stores therefore, this item has gone up in price, along with the Carmelle Mix. According to my stores, only the Egg Custard Mix is on RTC and it is still at 40p. I have no cut price Cheesecake Mix at all.

I also think that, whilst people are looking at "the detail", of only what is in their own M and not elsewhere, people are also failing to give enough detail. Things such as "Creme Caramel" are no good to tell me which specific product is supposed to be on RTC. I need at least information of the exact brand, or tier of product, such as whether it is M's standard range, Savers range or something else, and weight information. There is no M Savers Creme Caramel on any obvious reduction in my Ms and I'm not aware of any other Creme Caramel that is on reduction either. You'll need to specify exactly which one and let me know what you mean. Otherwise, I'm sorry, it's a miscommunication as I have failed to receive the message. I could also, ideally, do with a barcode.

I'll explain on this because, although not an RTC product as far as I'm aware, Rustlers Hot Dog 146g on BC 5099556 011023, which appears to be newer stock (judging by the BB dates), is on £1 offer price. However, Rustlers Hot Dog 146g on BC 5099556 009181 is £2. I trust that TBG will get it right and that if the first BC is bought, it will price match to M's price of £1, but that, if the second BC is available in T and bought, it will price match M's £2 price.

I am wondering whether there is a different BC version of Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Cornflakes 500g that is supposed to be 50p. Not in my stores it isn't (the only ones I have have a logo of Rio 2016 on the boxes and I don't know if there are other boxes somewhere with a different BC?). I'm sure any store that does display 50p and have the product at 50p (or maybe have the other product since, although it has the identical title and description, it is technically a different product since it is on a different BC) will be quickly completely OOS - as far as I know, it's £2 and 3 for £5 in all my 5 Ms. There is a clear offer of 3 for £5 on stock in my Ms - and one box of them did not scan at 50p. I tried the 375g version just in case, in another store, and it scanned at £1.98. So, no 50p price on 500g yet in any of my Ms. Now, whether they were 50p yesterday but have now gone up to £2 and any 3 for £5 I do not know.

I do not know whether the 50p price is store-specific since the mystery is it is showing online.

I think the RTCs might be a continuation of what has already been happening in M. Some items have gone down to RTC prices in various stores. In the last few weeks, each M I've had has had a "Price cut" shelf and different items have been on the shelves in different stores. For instance, the Tommee Tippee product that I found at 50p, I have only ever found in one M and I've seen nowhere else that has that product. I also found the Walkers Sunbites at 46p in the same store and - again - nowhere else. However, some of the items I've found have been available on those prices elsewhere and, indeed, I had another one today - the Tuc Snack to Go Crackers are still 35p, even if now only a store with incorrect SEL. So, that is not specific to a single store.

Indeed I will still be on about salmon:rotfl:. The Princes Wild Red Salmon 213g has again sold at least one unit at 50p in M today. It's now in a store where I've never had it (during its 50p period) before - and of course with no SEL. Meanwhile, one of my other stores has now, three weeks later, begun its clear out of the 3x80g tuna as it has now put 50p price on them on the shelf. Of course no stock when seen today, just empty space and I didn't see the product there at all before (so they just come in and out while I'm not there). And, despite visiting several stores before, it now turns out I have missed two Princes items. Princes Tuna Chunks in Brine (160g) and Princes Tuna Chunks in Sunflower Oil (160g) are each 25p. However, Princes Tuna Chunks in Spring Water (160g) apparently never went onto 25p as it scanned at £1 at the SS today:huh:.

I also have some Glenryck Pilchards 120g at 12p. However, it seems to be the Spicy Tomato Sauce version as the Sunflower Oil version appears to be 81p which is what its SEL also said.

Some of the Cake Angels number candles have gone down to 15p. However, other numbers are scanning at full price and 2 for 78p:huh:. (There was no mbuy on the shelf:rotfl:.)

There is a Big K Disposable BBQ (Small Tray) at 50p. I do not know whether these items have been mentioned before as I have not caught up. However, although I've found that price in more than one store (and stock also in one of them), you can see what I mean about different items in different stores: one of my other stores only has M's own brand Fsc Disposable BBQ (Small Tray) and you're expected to pay 56p for that one there. I think they must have a business set-up under which they offer some items on cheap RTC prices in some stores and other items in other stores but, in both stores, you will be expected to pay full prices on items other than the specific ones they have on RTC in whichever store.

The Berry Cereal Bars are full price SELs in all of my stores. I've checked one of those and it scanned at full price. The frozen Pork Steaks (4 per pack - 500g, M's own) however did scan at £1, to my surprise.

In fact I always think I end up with the short straw and don't have many good items in my stores at all. I have some M Coffee Filters 2x40g at 25p (that is not store-specific as I've seen it in two stores), M Skittles 75p, M Water Blaster Tube 25p (told you I always get the duff items), Pukka 3 1/2 minute frozen Chicken Pie (198g) 50p, M Foil Turkey Tray 50p, M Standard UK Plug 5p, Del Monte Light Peach Slices 400g 25p, Encore Cat Food - three versions - 70g - Ocean Fish, Mackerel with Seabream and Chicken & Ham - at 50p (but that's hardly any good since other brand slightly bigger tins are on cheaper mbuy offer pricing), M Savers Cat Food Chunks in Jelly with Chicken 6x400g on £1.73, some light bulbs - Osram Low Energy Stick 23 Watt E27 at 38p, M Opal Strip Light 284mm 30W at 25p and Osram Gu10 35 Watt (3 pack) at 25p, Birds Eye Homebake 4 Sausage & Bean Rolls (380g) 50p, Bake at Home Frozen Shortcrust Pastry 340g 61p, Clover Buttery Spray (190ml) at 55p, M Poly Postbags (3) have gone down to 12p, some M Premium Paper Plates 24cm (10 pack) at 38p - told you, I never get anything good:rotfl: - and Pritt Rainbow 20g at 25p (I don't know whether that's store-specific as I saw a Pritt Rainbow in another store showing at £1 - don't know if that was the same one or not as I didn't think about possibilities of different BCs at my first store).

The Euro 2016 Sticker Album is available in one of my Ms for... free:T:j:D. However, :(I think the 'catch' is the stickers themselves are not free but priced at 50p. So, you can apparently have an album with no stickers in it for nothing:money::rotfl:.

Billie Faiers 3 Piece Gift Set has gone down further - to £1.47. And the 2 piece set is now 97p.

I have the M 00 Flour at 16p. No details of the weight on that as it was completely OOS in my only store that actually had it at that price but I gather from here it's 500g.

There are some bin liners on reduction. I know there were some in A earlier and the ones in M probably not as good:rotfl: However, importantly for me, they include the 50L kitchen bin liners - I am always in need of these - and I overpaid at A on those last time:( I never found any 50L kitchen bin liners on RTC in A.

However, M Tall Kitchen Bin Liners 50L (10) are 41p but M Tall Kitchen Bin Liners 50L (10) are £1.65.

It's BC 5 010251 601753 that are the clearance ones, whilst BC 5010251 679882 are full price. However, it's possible your store might show 41p RTC SEL but only have (when you visit) the non-reduction ones and, possibly, you could get 41p vs CS. However, my 41p SEL store had no stock of any 50L tall kitchen bin liners at all, whilst I found a small number of 'correct' clearance ones among a lot of stock of full price ones in two other stores and SELs in both said £1.65. So, when someone on hotdeals, or maybe on here, posts that they have M's 50L Tall Kitchen Bin Liners (10) - and will they even give that much necessary detail? - at 41p in M, they are incorrect as regards Ms in which only the other BC version exist and which have £1.65 SELs. They are £1.65 there, not 41p. It's no good - you've got to identify the correct product by BC and not just post to say it's such and such RTC in your M as that is not the case in all Ms (even those which have stock of "M 50L Tall Kitchen Bin Liners (10)").

I think it would save us all a good deal of time and wasted effort finding our store has them at £1.65 - and then we are thinking the original information was incorrect when, actually, it's not as there is a - different BC - reduction version elsewhere. Also it may help some people who may pick the "incorrect" BC-version from the shelf of their M, in a £1.65 SEL store, take it to the till and find it's £1.65 and assume the product is £1.65 in their store. Have you checked the stock to see that there's no "reduction BC" stock in your store?

On this, I went to the till, to check if the price was £1.65 as I'd seen 41p RTC in my earlier store with no stock. I was told it was £1.65:(. However, at that point, given that I had seen the earlier store and for a moment thought that my new store now was different and maybe the product was store-specific to the other place, I still didn't fully trust the £1.65 I'd been told. So, I went back to the stock at the shelf - and, on looking at some of the stock, I then noticed two different BCs. I then took one of each to the SS and, sure enough, one of them was 41p but the other was full price!

Also there are different BCs on the 30L Swing Bin Liners (20 pack) as well. In that case, it also seems they are going down from 450mm to 440mm width-wise (the length remains the same). I think it's BC 5010251 601494 that are at 52p, but BC 5010251 679875 where the width has gone down but apparently they are still as tall as they were are £2.31:eek:. So, no luck if all you have is the higher priced version and if the SELs say the higher price.

Finally - though I'm sure it's not:rotfl: - there is supposedly an M Shatterproof Ruler 30cm at 10p RTC. However, I don't the right BC in my store as mine scanned at 40p although the label said 10p. It seems to me there is, again different BC stock potentially - like the Pocket Calculator a version of which is the 13p RTC version, which caused at least one M with the "incorrect" version to change its SEL to 13p but of course they are 13p there but scan at 75p.

I may mention some of the actual substantive changes of offers later - it seems to me that, more generally, on the items that aren't on offer anymore - M is a more expensive place to shop than last week. I think, overall, although we have these RTCs - and in some stores maybe - I think generally M this time does seem more expensive to me than it was before. However, the 10p More points offers on the Free From and the frozen meat free products still appear to be on - some items have gone up in price and been taken away for that reason, but other items are now on offers and apparently on points too so there will be some new ones to add!

So, with people posting lots of information about cheap RTCs available in their store (or taking it from other people on hotdeals who have helpfully told us there), I think there's little change in M and generally it's more expensive than it was before:rotfl::(. I think people that are thinking the opposite are getting the wrong perception.

If you went looking in your M for those RTCs and didn't find many of them, then I think you now know why! Is anyone else, generally, having any luck?

What I'll do, I will get together the information of what has been posted and what RTC price was given and include that on the M list (such details as we have) and indicate that some of this might be store-specific. It will be in a separate section - it probably should be at the beginning of "buy in M". I think, otherwise, there are some pretty dodgy comparisons on the APG that, really, aren't realistically having much chance of being picked up. Typically though I did have the Lucozade at 62p earlier in my stores that's not really that good:rotfl:. I don't know what the Energy drink is that is said to have gone to 29p. I don't have the Daffodils in any of my five stores this time, but that's not to rule out the possibility that they could still be somewhere. They did seem on their last legs to me in my stores last time (and have compared to somewhat higher than £1 on the APG on one occasion). The Big Fish Co. Haddock that I found last time, I didn't have that now in my main store where I found it before. Smallest store to the rescue again:rotfl:. (They now had it in there!:T)

It's strange how things move around - though I did have the large Seafood Sauce jar, unexpectedly, still in the one store where I had it last time - but, last week, when I did three stores on one collection - having found some of the items at completely different stores used the time before - I'd now find some item was in stores 1 and 2 but not 3 (in the order now visited last time), I'd find something else was now in stores 1 and 3 but not my second store and another item, that I didn't find it either main store 1 or main store 2, it turned up in the third store:rotfl:.

That's it for now - more later! (Some updating will be done at some stage - it has, indeed, not been as much change this time though - normally on a changeover, which would be on Monday, I have 6 sides of paper - this time, and despite it being Wednesday and, you'd think even more to change since I missed Monday out, I only have four sides of paper of information so, indeed, not as much has changed this time!)

Goodnight everybody, from a womble dated today.

    AvS 1x Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey with Honey (1L) £27.00 £23.00

Fwiw, JD Winter Jack (70cl) is on £10 RTC in "M".

It has been, in various Ms, for a number of weeks. Fwiw as it was £10 offer sometime before and would have been potential Avs M for 10% off (which is quite a sum with a price of £10, but almost nothing the cheaper any RTCs at M get:() - however the Winter Jack is no longer on a.com as far as I'm aware so it would now be straight pay £10 in M and not £9 with the APG price before.

However, all the 1L alcohols that were £15 have now gone up to £17 in M as far as I am aware. The 20 pack alcohols that were £10 are now up in price! The Muller Light Goodies are now full price. And the Goodfellas Deep Pan 410g+ pizzas are no longer £1. The lower weight Thin & Crispy versions are still £1, which they were before - that is not an RTC - but were ruled out as they appear to be OOS on a.com (and not sure how long so maybe a no-show:(). And Goodfellas Deep Pan, with over 400g of weight, were felt to be better. M now much more expensive store:rotfl:. And M Savers Apple Pies (6) have gone up to 55p:eek::eek:!
