My DS says weather is a lot better in Liverpool and Chester than here. He's used to leaving work in Chester in fine weather and by the time he gets To my house he's wet and if he going out asks have I got a brolly. He knows I don't use them but normally find him one.

Tweets I've always thought the weather thing in Manchester was a myth...We have been a few times over the years and its always rained but I put it down to bad luck or the time of year but
in the last year we have visited quite a bit because its still one of the main choices of Uni for DS ...and its still rained every time...

Thanks. Yes I am too trusting and scared somewhat of the unknown. After OH left in 2008 I struggled financially and its only since I got this job in 2014 I have felt valued and securer financially. But maybe another leap into the unknown is called for. Still no sign of the money!. Still had a lovely day off out with DD and her friend to arrange her baby shower then been planting pots all afternoon. Lovely day here. Thanks all.

Afternoon all OH is late back which is annoying when you want to get to Homebase - deep sigh. And he has a funeral to go to in the morning so I've no idea how we are going to fit in doing all of the jobs between now and then

Trying to sit out in the garden but I hate the wind and I like it to be really hot and still outside - the sun is on the back of the house in the afternoon so it's too cold to be at the desk at the front

I responded to a Freecycle this morning but now I am having doubts as to wether its one of those scams. It was for a patio set with 4 chairs, metal - no idea if it would even go Into the car but usually these things come to pieces. There was suitable photos and the location is only 10 mins from here.
They reposted the advert again at lunch time
With the scam artists what happens is you get an email to say they have had to move to Edinburgh or somewhere exotic and whatever it is has gone with them but they can courier it down to you for a nominal cost - of course the item is non existent and your money vanishes ...

Yes of course. I got 80 plants from Tesco last week for £1.25 just potted them up and they look great.

I got 8 woven baskets from homebase on Saturday with ivy and polyanthus in which after some trimming and tidying and 3 rain days are now looking good - I've started taking them out and moving them around the garden. Also 5 terracotta pots - one with purple and 4 with white polyanthus in and a little fir in the middle - these needed almost no trimming.

Baskets 75p and pots £1.50 :T
