Send MG my way immediately, he needs a stern talking to. Water parks are the greatest fun ever. Typhoon Lagoon is my favourite. It has a big surfing wave and a tank where you can snorkel and a lovely lazy river which you can just float round all day in. Heaven.

Totally agree, Typhoon was our favourite. We also went to Blizzard Beach which we found a bit weird!
The theme is of a Winter Ski Park with fake snow everywhere and Winter settings, there was even Christmas music in the background! Some of the water slides are in the form of ski runs and there are even ski-type lifts to the top. Great facilities for all ages though at both Parks though and well worth a visit.

Thanks chelseafred for your very informative post about orlando. We have not been before but are going later in the year. Ds has done on the diy booking. We are hiring a car and travelling down to the quays stopping off at various place enroute. The second week we have hired a villa which works out at about £700 for 6 so mse and with a pool. What are the prices like in walmart compared to over here - don't expect they have an a wpg! Am planning on doing picnics for the park so any food tips appreciated. Bashfuls bungalow is our villa for anyone who wants to be nosey.

    Hi matty,
We found Wallmart prices better than over here on most things. But think bigger! Everything is in bigger packs, milk by the gallon etc:rotfl:
Food is taken very seriously over there but we found the Americans very wasteful, we usually emptied our plates but that is not the norm for them.
You'll have a great time, lots to see and do and the Americans are mostly very friendly and helpful. We have been very surprised over the last three trips there.
    Have a great time!

ChelseaFred hope you managed to watch the match not knowing the score :)

    Yes, thanks!
Watched it as soon as I got home as if it was live - wow, one of the best matches that I have seen for a long time:T
Just as competitive as I hoped and a great result.
Well done Leicester, a great season for them and a breath of fresh air for the Premier League:T

Sorry to hear about your Mum gocat. :o

Chelseafred, your trip sounds great. I have progressed on from the Disney Parks to Disney Cruise Line - absolutely amazing! We are going on our 5th Disney cruise in less than 4 weeks and I just can't wait. :D

Sounds good, although I think that would be just a bit too much Disney for me with no escape!
As I reported above we are hoping to do Universal etc next year followed by a Caribbean Cruise. Our DS, DIL & 2 kids will be with us and they will do the Disney Cruise while we are in the Caribbean.
I am sure you will have a great time:beer:

Phew, caught up now. I will move over and give someone else a chance to post:o

QOC are you going to America?? I'm off to California next week and I was going to come on here to ask people for advice about Disney & Universal tickets and you're all talking about it already :rotfl:

    Spoooooky
    .

I went to the one in Los Angeles many years ago and was. Bitterly disappointed

You just walked in off the street no build up to entrance and I was disappointed and we only stayed half a day

But that was over 20 year ago so I think it will have improved greatly

If they are still there the Queen Mary ocean liner and the Spuce goose plane was interesting to see .

Did a helicopter ride over the Hollywood sign then had a lovely drive to Vegas
