Been mia as mum rushed to hospital as extremely weak. Doctor told us 2 days ago she hasn't got long left, kidneys failing, could be breast cancer diagnosed 8 years has spread, but she is fighting hard and seems stronger each day so here hoping :T Hopefully, they are starting tests today to see if they can pin point whats up.

As usual no one missed me sob sob :o:D

Up early today (head buzzing I think from last few days) so thought would catch up on here and see what I missed.

So sorry to hear your sad news, sounds like a fighter :) hopefully she will be pain free and comfortable.
Also look after yourself, stay strong and positive and go and make some more memories :) x

Sounds like a good trip! We stayed at Docklands a few times when visiting DD at Uni. Docklands Travelodge seemed to have a run of cheap rates! Nice and quiet at the weekend.

We often used to wander up to the O2 into the free exhibitions 'pretend Sky News studio' to read the news etc.

DD's 21st Birthday we were booked to go up the Shard, but it was too misty, so we had to re book. We ended up with a view of Docklands sitting on the Emirates cable car drinking Champers out of plastic cups!

Such Fun! (Congrats to DS and DiL!).

    Thank you :)

we also have stayed at the Travelodge at docklands as you say good rates at times and perfect for stopovers, but this trip I needed to be the other side of the river for my early start for the babysitting duties which is why doclands Hilton was the option, or we could have stayed at the yha just down the road!

Glad you had a wonderful holiday CHELSEA Fred....Florida is very special.
Although I'm disappointed your supermarket of choice is wallmart...IT'S Publix all the way for us unless we need to buy industrial sized tubs of cheetos then it wallmart!

We had a quiet weekend still not feeling 100% well so looking forward to next weekend when there might be a little more sun

I used up an expiring APG yesterday and jumped on the charlie wells ipa bandwagon....not tried it yet but I guess if its too full bodied it will be good in a casserole!

Have a good day all....its only a 4 day week!
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

Morning Everyone - lovely and sunny here :)

Comedy show yesterday morning! DD1 was hassling me to give her a lift first thing and I refused until I'd had my bath and a cuppa. So she made me a cuppa, handed it to me in the bath. OMG the cup was so hot it burnt my fingers  Tried to pass it back to her but she had turned away - so then I managed to slop boiling hot tea out of the cup onto the other side of my hand. The pain was so intense I couldn't think so I was wobbling the cup about slopping more and more tea over me. Couldn't even think to drop it or put it down at first!!
Hand very painful and started to swell but slathered it in burn cream and its now fine :)
Really don't know how my DD managed to make the tea so hot - mine never come out like that!
