Good morning everybody, I hope you are well and have a fabulous Tuesday.

    Happy shopping.
Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.

Went to Canary Wharf to The Hilton for afternoon tea which was a present from our son for our wedding anniversary last month. When we arrived my husband was all smiles and went round the revolving doors twice:o- in the foyer was the Norwich football team, although he doesn't support Norwich they are our local team, so he was chatting away to them before they got on the coach to play their game.
Afternoon tea was good and the staff were very accommodating as little grandson came as well, :T
Although son and daughter-in-law live 1 stop on the tube away from Canary Wharf they had never been and were amazed at the shopping centers,:j wandered into l'occitane for our free gifts,:) bottled water from boots courtesy of O2 :)and coffee at waitrose.:)
DH and I stayed at Docklands Hilton and on Sunday after having a very pleasant drive around popping into various coops along the way managed the rapid rashers but no bacon:(, had a little womble at the usual A that I go to when in London :)
Had a drive and sat out at varying quays watching the world go by saw:) some lovely house boats - and one for sale, but I don't fancy living on water:eek:- then back to the Hilton- got a little lost saw a sign to Greenwich and thought I might pop in for a pot of tea with the elite who were that way,:rotfl: but found our way back to the hotel.
In the evening caught the free ferry across to canary wharf to Nandos where we used our gift card - so cheap evening:) back to the hotel where we had left our bottle of wine on ice.
    !

Sounds like a good trip! We stayed at Docklands a few times when visiting DD at Uni. Docklands Travelodge seemed to have a run of cheap rates! Nice and quiet at the weekend.

We often used to wander up to the O2 into the free exhibitions 'pretend Sky News studio' to read the news etc.

DD's 21st Birthday we were booked to go up the Shard, but it was too misty, so we had to re book. We ended up with a view of Docklands sitting on the Emirates cable car drinking Champers out of plastic cups!

Such Fun! (Congrats to DS and DiL!).
