Not a bit mad at all marmie. In 2002, one of my dogs was killed in front of me by an English Bull Terrier. I had two little dogs on leads, going out for walk, so it was horrific. Anyway, to move on, as it is still distressing for me, we had tiny Billy cremated and I kept his ashes for a few years in a cupboard, not knowing what to do with them. Then my father died and we interred his ashes in the family plot with his father and mother and brother, and it was Dad's birthday so we laid out birthday cards with his ashes casket. I placed Billy's ashes in a bag inside Dad's card and asked them to look after each other. It certainly put my mind at rest, though Dad wasn't that much of a dog person and would be annoyed at Billy's barking lol :A

Never, ever out of turn :A I have thought of this tweets :A, though I think their continued struggles against relegation at end of each season, might not let him rest :rotfl: Seriously, I wouldn't know how to go about it, plus I want us to be together when it is my time  so still needs some thought

This is true 3Dogs about him not being able to rest :rotfl: I still look out for Sunderland's score and think of your beloved Alan.

I would think you would have to contact Sunderland and request for his ashes to be laid to rest there.

Awe that's fetched a tear to my eye about you wanting to be with him.

This looks bleak even on a nice day - I can imagine it would be very blowy up there.

Good afternoon ...DSis Auntielala is back home and fast asleep with her DD taking care of her and her disabled husband. She has had the all clear on the lumber puncture and blood tests and scan but need to keep a close eye on her re the calcium on the brain ....the conclusion re the bad headaches and sickness could be stress related and need to treat this as a warning yo slow down as she thinks she is Super Woman and tries to do too much as far as looking after her DH forgetting that she is nearly 70 and had breast cancer 4 years ago which resulted in a masectomy:(thankyou all so much for your messages and am feeling more at ease now .She has carer in 4 times a day but often cancels them off and does it herself which they have told her she is not to do any more

That's a relief - hope your sister feels better soon x

We may have found a bird breeder, a bit over an hour away but a referral from a friend :)

Brilliant news :j fingers crossed that it's a good result for you :)

cjj my eye has been getting better each day. Yesterday felt great but today feels very heavy and tired, think I've overdone the reading :o

Hi Susan, lovely to see you posting as not seen you in ages. Hope you are as well as can be expected X

Norwich Peregines had their first hatch today :j. Been watching the web cam and struck lucky, saw the little mite ahhhhh. Bath have had 3 hatch so far, saw them at lunch time. DH reckons I spend too much time watching them but I disagree, it is so addictive

Not going to be around much tonight as been told I shouldn't be wearing my old glasses too much, roll on the time when I can have an eye test and new glasses then :rotfl:

Hope everyone has had a good day X
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

I too have the same dilemma...My boy is my first ever dog....I really do not know what I would have done if I had not had him..He is such a great companion..I am toying with the idea that I will keep his ashes and have him put in with me when its my time...We can walk together wherever we end up..Perhaps I am a bit mad but hey..I wouldn't be me if I wasn't...:D..
Gosh a tear in my eye thinking I will one day have to say goodbye to my dear companion..:(

:o My beautiful dog Pooky is here in her urn. When I go (hopefully before Fourp I want him to scatter my ashes & hers together over or in the diesel train trucks (with all the chippings) & I'll get my ride on the diesel up the coast - the engine sits in our station awaiting for other train to pass (single track line) so he can casually walk past ;)

Mr 3Dogs ashes are still at undertakers as I can't decide what to do with them. Certainly nowhere down here as I do plan to move up to Tyneside again at some point, but struggling to think of where best to scatter them up 'home'
