Fab :j3dogs....thank you for your post...part of it rings true and clear with me and I'm glad we seem to not be the only ones who have yet to decide on resting places for loved ones.
Your post has bought a little clarity to me that reinforces the belief I have that when the time is right the answer will come...thank you so much for calming a potential anxiety with just a few words x
It's not something people talk about or share is it? You are right, the solution will appear to us when the time is right, and no doubt we will say 'why didn't I think of that sooner' :AMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Good afternoon ...DSis Auntielala is back home and fast asleep with her DD taking care of her and her disabled husband. She has had the all clear on the lumber puncture and blood tests and scan but need to keep a close eye on her re the calcium on the brain ....the conclusion re the bad headaches and sickness could be stress related and need to treat this as a warning yo slow down as she thinks she is Super Woman and tries to do too much as far as looking after her DH forgetting that she is nearly 70 and had breast cancer 4 years ago which resulted in a masectomy:(thankyou all so much for your messages and am feeling more at ease now .She has carer in 4 times a day but often cancels them off and does it herself which they have told her she is not to do any more0

Thanks mhoc, not sure of details yet as its a group of us from work and we havnt fixed a date yet. Friday's look much cheaper so I'm hoping this could be an option with the others. Not sure if we would be traveling by car, coach or train. We are near Leeds , really appreciate your reply but I'm not very helpful am I :rotfl:. xx
Edit - yes it's an overnight stay mhoc xx
OK, I've figured it now.
From Leeds to Liverpool lime street there are straight through trains - takes only about 90 mins - under 2 hours anyway and quite cheap. Use the train ticket split link and its usually cheaper to book 2 singles rather than a return - if you find the train you want and book through Trans Pennines rather than the trainline then usually there is no ticket fee.
possibly as little as £20 for train fares but book as far in advance as you can and also book seats so you can all sit together.
Have a look for apartments in Liverpool city centre as well as hotel rooms - I think they might work out cheaper
also air b and b is worth a look - some places you can have sole use of for a night
and don't forget TCB or Quidco“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Mr 3Dogs ashes are still at undertakers as I can't decide what to do with them. Certainly nowhere down here as I do plan to move up to Tyneside again at some point, but struggling to think of where best to scatter them up 'home'

I too have the same dilemma...My boy is my first ever dog....I really do not know what I would have done if I had not had him..He is such a great companion..I am toying with the idea that I will keep his ashes and have him put in with me when its my time...We can walk together wherever we end up..Perhaps I am a bit mad but hey..I wouldn't be me if I wasn't...:D..
Gosh a tear in my eye thinking I will one day have to say goodbye to my dear companion..:([STRIKE]68 [STRIKE]Mouses[/STRIKE] [/STRIKE]

Just out of curiosity I had a look at booking.com and found this Liverpool apartment 24 June Friday night, 6 adults - £275 plus £15 = £290 and it is a cancellable rate - bargain - with a balcony and right on Albert Dock which would be perfect.
albert dock exec apt 5 stars
albert dock area, Liverpool, L3 4BWOK, I've figured it now.

Is the Blue Dragon Sushi Rice (500g) at 50p in M now common knowledge? Has anyone managed to find it in their M?0
