We can be patient, we want to get it right.

Thank you everyone for your help. We will wait until we find the right place. As for someone keeping Golden Eagles, that is just horrific!

The person we contacted about the parrots was only advertising in preloved, I thought it was a bit strange that they were not advertising on the caged bird websites, but now I suspect I know why :(

best to trust your own judgement if it does not feel right walk away,
i know was upset as had known the bloke for years and had brought from him but he had secret rooms with the hooky stuff in to go to the highest bidder apparently he could get most things even offered us a pair of hyacinth macaws no questions asked ;) even though at time they were also on the endangered list and not just birds reptiles and mammals :(

My mum used to breed cockatiels and still goes here for supplies.

They might be able to put you in touch with someone local to you ......
sorry I have been corrected, she still breeds cockatiels but as she is nearly eighty she has scaled it down.
All I know is that the bird should have a fixed ring with its details on and big bright eyes...no sign of any damage of beak and wings or scales on feet or beak...all of which you already know if you have a cockatiel xx
  • Right...My boy needs a walk so I'd better take him...catcha in a bit...
