We have had cockatiels before, they used to mimic the phone, it was very annoying at times :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

He is beautiful. We had two cockatiels, Rosie only lived till she was 12 but she did everything at double pace, she even flew double pace:eek: Jim died when he was 20, was a bit quiet in later years, but loved being spoon fed, and was a ferocious defender of our daughter!!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I know people are against caged birds, but he/she would be very well cared for a looked after, hopefully better in our hands than another, and we really want to make sure we find some legitimate breeders.
We have been out of the business for a few years now but I will make some enquiries.
We were friends with a brilliant local breeder but she has retired from it now due to illness.
There are some good breeders about though If you can be patient.0 -
My mum used to breed cockatiels and still goes here for supplies.

We can be patient, we want to get it right.
Thank you everyone for your help. We will wait until we find the right place. As for someone keeping Golden Eagles, that is just horrific!
The person we contacted about the parrots was only advertising in preloved, I thought it was a bit strange that they were not advertising on the caged bird websites, but now I suspect I know whyWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
