:hello: As far as I am aware:laugh:, from what I have been able to establish:rotfl::rotfl:, there isn't much change to actual prices in M from Monday compared to today. However, I will be adding a lot of new items onto the list because of course they weren't in any of the three stores I checked more properly on Monday!:rotfl:
To be fair if I'd have checked my main store today on Monday, which was trying to get to but just didn't have time and went to another, I doubt that I would have found several of the items that I did on Monday. I think it's just pure chance that I am coming across some items. My stores today - particularly my primary one - did not have any of the RTC Linda McCartney products I mentioned before and I doubt whether they have ever had them. Of course they could have appeared and gone yesterday (or on Monday) when I wasn't there. I now have some further items which have either gone down more - and I was ignoring them before - or are now at good prices.
I'm also thinking that more than one Robinsons Kids Dilute 1L drink has now gone to 50p. Am I right?:D I've had to rely on just one unpopular version which is around now in only one of my stores and has that price. Several were RTC before (obviously not as good at all) - now I just have this one left - only seen today - which makes me think that the other flavours, which no longer have any evidence of them at all in my stores, are also now 50p. It's not especially good - I've been ignoring M standard own brand on RTC prices of 68p or something like that - as Savers 1L versions have been 33p (Blackcurrant I think went up from 30p to 33p some months ago).
So, there will be lots of new items to add - I think at least one store has one of them on a SEL at £1.40:D even though the item has now gone to 35p, although I did find stock at the other store.
The branded waters on RTC now appear to have largely cleared out and I'm left with no evidence of them, not only in my stores today but also in wider stores checked over the last week. I now have just Nestle Pure Life at 50p left in my stores but that's just my stores - others could be elsewhere but I think the chances of the APG finding them - i.e. being in a store with them - are now pretty slim. Of course I can't tell whether my stores are over- or under-representative and I'm picking up just the random items that are left in various stores and then piecing them all together to work out what M has.Savvybuyer wrote: »Air Wick Freshmatic Max Unit - Black£5.98 £3.00 This is in Wrexham for me:D:D.
Air Wick Freshmatic Max Unit - Stone£3.00:( £3.00 This is rare in M for me.
Air Wick Freshmatic Max Unit - White£5.98 £3.00 And a third store for this one - just not got all three in one store:rotfl:.
I've actually managed to find two stores that stock both the White and Black versions today:rotfl:. However, I don't have any Stone version, which is one of the two Stone versions that were on RTC earlier, in the stores today but it is definitely somewhere else.
I actually hold out hope for some of those on offer rather than RTC such as the Sudocrem Cream 100g. From my stores on Monday, I ended up with just the final one that had it. I'd been through six stores all day - though to be fair not looking much beyond canned fish, hot dogs and biscuits in three of them - and had no trace and then the final store turned it up! (Had I gone to my starting place today - which is where I was originally go to end up on Monday - I would have had no trace at all.) However, today, although I've not found it in that store, I have it in two other stores, including one of my smaller ones, which, in addition to the other one from Monday, gives me hope that it is wider than what I may have thought before. I therefore think a price collection of six stores is likely to hit on at least one with it.
The Bennett's Bum Creme - which again only turned up in the final store on Monday (the store where I'd originally found it before) - has now suddenly turned up in one of my stores today (which did not involve the only one where I've seen it before now). I didn't expect to see it today but I have, so, again, there may be hope.
And, again, I was doubtful about the Branston's 720g product that I have on my list from Monday. However, I have the Silverskin Onions now in a second store for me and these were I think one of the items on the original RTC with the Branston's and although I don't have the Branston's (from a smaller set of stores), this does suggest the Branston's are in more stores than I thought and might stand a bit more chance that I felt. I felt it was just my single store on Monday that still had them lingering on eight or nine months after a clearance on them started. Now, though, clearly the Silverskin are available elsewhere so Branston's might be somewhere too.
There are a few items that are still around in several stores - including the "RTC" alcohol drinks. The RTC waters seem to have largely gone, as do the Disney 50p baby products (although the Sipper is undoubtedly at Wrexham annoyingly with no price label), I removed the Adidas 300ml deodorants from my list months ago as, although I found them at the outset (or what was the outset of when they appeared for me), I just have not seen them anywhere in any store, including any on my further travels, and I suspect they would have been bought - they were completely OOS as soon as they appeared for me in the first store I saw them and then there was total no trace there two days later. I saw them in one or two stores soon afterwards, but then nothing (despite seeing lots of stores travelling out). I suspect they will suddenly turn up somewhere - however as far as I know they have gone.
Some items though are still around in enough stores for me as to give me hope that they will be picked up. It's mainly the alcoholic drinks at the moment. I don't hold out much hope for any salmon, not really much for Mackerel Fillets (I have complete no trace on those today) or for the 10p products.
However, I don't know whether the Mackerel Fillets in Tomato Sauce might be good to compare against 25p at the moment.:) They were in stock and with the 25p SEL at Wrexham on Monday. They are a few £1 and nasty £1.37 SELs hanging around in the odd other store however - although I hope not too many to overturn a 25p result - I haven't seen many £1.37s overall though and the ones I saw were on other versions.
If this works against 25p now, and indeed they have been in Wrexham, then as to whether it works from about Thursday onwards (from today's information) would depend on what other stores have done and whether people think that the Mackerel Fillets wouldn't have completely sold out and the SEL been removed in Wrexham by today. There were about 7 tins left when I saw them on Monday afternoon.
The Tuna Mayonnaise were also showing 25p although I have come across another couple of stores (but just my stores) in which they have been showing £1. I've lost some Chicken Drumsticks today as well - this time the other pack size to the ones I lost at the start of last week but then came across a SEL for them. I now still have the SEL for the 'older' version:huh: but no trace at all of the newer ones. I can't imagine that they have all sold out of every M and will doubtless be somewhere but I just had none in any of the four stores I ended up going to today. A single unit of stock in the final store would have done, but, no, none! I will be keeping them on this time as I can't imagine they've suddenly changed in price and they will be somewhere. I've lost the Tuna Mayonnaise on my stores today (but it may be at Wrexham at 25p - but very likely not there at all next week). Had I travelled back out to where I found the newer Drumsticks last time - at five to ten at night on Monday! - then I would undoubtedly have picked up the Tuna Mayonnaise at £1 SEL again. Last week, when I lost the other Drumsticks on that Monday, I actually crossed that other version off my list for two days whilst I worked out whether they were still around. Apparently they are, according to the SEL, although I've seen no stock. The ones I've now lost - and been unable to confirm what price they are on Wednesday, today - I will keep on the list. I don't hold out much hope of either pack size comparing, since these seem to be new items that just appear when M is doing a special offer. When a new pack size appears like this, I think this will not give the price collectors the chance to pick them up. They would need to submit the item for approval to check whether it was comparable or not before it would, eventually, compare. This process could take several months. As the products come in and out of M within a few weeks, on new pack sizes that then go, I don't think the system will have these unless they have been there at some time before and got approved and picked up. Nonetheless, the 1Kg version - should compare from A's 1.1Kg but again that's another reason why I think they might not have them - will undoubtedly have remained at the same price in M today and, although I have not seen it at all - I will keep it on the list as what "should" compare. However, it probably won't.
There are random items that weren't in my first store today, and I had to pick them up from a second store. Sometimes I have items in the first whose price is not clear and which I just leave as I expect to see the item in my next store, but then it turns out it isn't there and so I can't check what price it is:doh:. It seems that one of 230g Cow & Gate tray meals is not in the 4 for £4 mbuy. It is the only one showing online without the mbuy on m.com and I have mbuy SELs instore on every one except this one. Therefore, it does not seem to be on the mbuy - however I have not had 4 scanned and checked. I was going to check at the second store, however it turned out that they did not have this version and neither did my two other stores (I think it was just getting fewer and fewer range at each one). However, as I have seen no mbuy instore showing on this one, and only this one, and this is consistent with online which has only full price on it, I do not think it stands any chance of being picked up with an M mbuy as it seems M has left it off the mbuy.
I have products that have disappeared and are now being picked up from other stores, just randomly depending on what has sold out and SELs gone and stock shifted around on the shelf to leave no space and no evidence of the product in the first store at all. I also have some where mbuys are not displayed on the shelves and some at full price - I have seen full price on one item now too much (even though it is on offer, checked and scanned again at the till today) that I think it is unlikely to work - I'll mention details of specific items with possible problems soon. We have had some items that are on offer in M and showing offer price online returning full price when I have seen full price in some of my stores instore. Sometimes there is an indication there that these might fail, and I'll mention some items soon.0 -
I've not been keeping up very well. AJ I'm sorry you had an unpleasant experience with your op. I hope you heal quickly and without too much grief. The results will be worth it in the end and hopefully your bad experience will fade from memory.
Rhos, I've not taken part in operation China thus far. I've not been out and about much lately but when I have I've only saw some very gaudy 70s crockery. Well done to Di for having the idea though and isn't it coming together well? :T You must be chuffed to bits0 -
Have managed to bash a dent on the inside of the caravan wall, don't think we can repair it.
Had forgotten last time we went over to check on it the farmer had another van parked so close I couldn't get in the main door and I had to squeeze through the small side one under the bunks.
And because I had to squeeze out again I had left the metal bunk ladder standing instead of laying it on the bottom bunk. So when the farmer towed it out this evening it wacked into the toilet wall and dented the wood veneer. So cross as it's right as you walk in the caravan as a reminder every time.

I think I'm adding to a trend here but I have a poorly cat. I have no cats left that are actually mine. They're all drive bys that have just stayed. This is one of the ones from the neighbour that moved out and left the cats behind  She's always been quite sprightly and I never thought she was that old.
A couple of weeks back she was being sick a lot. Her preferred site was the greenhouseand she was looking decidedly skinny. Took her to the vet and he reckons shes around 14/15 years old  you honestly would never have guessed until lately. He gave her the usual 'cure all' jabs and sent us home with choices. In true cat style, she returned to normal for about a week and has now started to go downhill again. Not eating, even skinnier and can't seem to stand too long without having to lie down. She's a proper fur cleaner as well and had been neglecting that too
I've always thought of her as a very proud little lady.
My issue with this one is DS2 and her have 'connected' no idea why but when she sees him she rolls and purrs like mad and he likes itI've had the conversation with him but he told me to put her on dry food instead of wet food and she'll be ok. (Google) Just when you thought you had an unfeeling child, he throws you a curve ball.
I've decided if she's the same in the morning to take her back and get her put to sleep before she starts experiencing any misery. I'm sure she's not in pain or suffering now but that will come. it's really weird with drive by cats......and I know mhoc will understand......they don't feel like 'mine' but I feel responsible for them. They eat my food and sleep in the beds I make for them but they don't move in and aren't really that affectionate, just grateful to have a roof and and a full belly. I think they get very snotty if their original owner abandons them and get quite self sufficient emotionally as long as they have food and shelter.0 -

I didnt tell the whole story as I'm not sso silly (sometimes ),and paid off the credit card a couple of days later with a cheap balance transfer. I sold mine for a profit too but it is worth ten times now .....0 -
Errors on my price collection?
I think there was most likely an error on my price collection on Monday.Savvybuyer wrote: »Morrisons Seafood Sticks (500g)£1.00
I thought this seemed too good to be true. However, I had quite a few other products - several alcoholic drinks - that I was checking and kept having different prices to m.com and msm (whoever was responsible for updating m.com seemed clearly to have not yet updated the site) and I just went with what I had.
I think the Seafood Sticks are actually £2:(. I took a pack, marked £2, to the till today anyway and they scanned it and told me it was £2. I think I have either got the price of the 200g Seafood Sticks associated with 500g - or else I saw some offer label in some store with "Seafood Sticks 500g" on them but it meant 200g. Yes, blame the SELs Savvy:p:rotfl:. So, it does seem to me that this is incorrect and it will be deleted. So, sorry about this one.
I think there was an error on my last Wednesday collection too. I mentioned that I had some Laughing Cow 4 pack product at £1 - however m.com and msm had £1.44. I put the two versions of Laughing Cow onto my list with the £1 I had collected but mentioned it differed from msm. On Monday, I saw clear £1.44s and deleted them off. It now appears that the £1 offer has expired on 10th April. I have £1 SELs in one store today but the labels are clearly out of date as they say "Valid until 10th April". I think what happened was that I saw £1 yellow price labels on Wednesday but the store in which I saw those did not have any expiry date on the labels and therefore I took those prices. There was nothing to make me question the prices and therefore that's how I got the £1s. It turns out the offers clearly expired and that's how the errors happened.
Clearly we see occasions when price collectors make mistakes, such as on the Caffeine Free cola over the weekend. It seems to me that usually, when they make errors such as missing an M mbuy:(, they are because the mbuy isn't showing on the shelves in the stores they are checking. So, probably half the time the mistakes come not from them but from the SELs they are seeing and half the time they make mistakes of their own.0 -
Fairclaire...your son has a point, give it a go and if in doubt do nothing, the answer will come, good luck xxx
My sil has a poorly cat who has a broken tail but vets won't remove it and its been over a month.
Ithought it was worse to leave it but there is a much bigger problem with possible nerve damage so they have to wait, but have been advised it might be better to think about the long term as it could b incontinent but at the mo he is not in pain....difficult times for her and also costing a fortune too, xxx0
