Afternoon
A little something for any jam makers amongst us, A had Whitworths pectin sachets 3 pk rtc at 32p.
Now I just need a glitch on some fruit - need to make lots of jam for a cream tea.
put a request in on Freeccycle to see if anyone has excess rhubarb to offer - our rhubarb is going mad already“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
I would be surprised if they use that email since that's not the company name
what is the correct email please?“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

thanks for this, it is the sort of thing we are looking at but a but too south lakes.
from what I've figured I've got to focus on places with a CA postcode rather than an LA one as the LA ones are further south
I've been all over the web this morning and not got a thing done:D“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I have been looking at some youtube stuff and will keep perservering. PD I did quote your pic but its now gone, but your crochet is lovely. I really really want to be able to crochet some kind of blanket like that.
Hi VT. Think it was you who sent me the sopost thing, I got my benefit eyecream the other day and really like it, in fact so much that even after a few days I'm considering buying one (although I expect its stupid expensive so maybe not!).
In reply to the go walks, I just chuck them in the washing machine on a 40 degree wash and they're absolutely fine.
Snap, glad your Dad seems to getting on well with the physio.
Rhos, sorry to hear about the latest saga with the wedding caterers. Glad it is being investigated.
TM, I did catch your comment from a couple of days ago, but have literally been catching up! The swimming hasn't really helped the weight loss as I've only been going once a week. I've been low carbing since the New Year. Few periods off here and there, but going really well. Another lb gone today, so up to 3 stone 9lbs lost. :T
Its taken til now for me to catch up from Sunday night, as was really busy yesterday. I reckon all you lot with your electric puns jinxed me, as my boiler broke.Realised all the sockets in the house weren't working, kept tripping when I reset it, and identified it to the boiler. Engineer coming out this afternoon, so glad I have a home cover scheme.
BQ I'm glad your op went ok, hope your recovery goes smoothly.
wendyak, how kind of your husband donating all that iron rich blood! Glad he feels better for it, even if it in his head! :rotfl:
bubbs, STILL no pepsi max in local waitrose, went again this morning.
Sorry if I've missed anyone, not intentional at all.
Good Afternoon Ladyshopper
Well done on the weight loss :T:T:T0 -
now Ive seen everything
our local Freecycle someone is trying to rehome their excess of
FROGS
they say their pond has a population explosion and they have 20 at least. Can you even re home frogs, don't they always try and make their way back to their birth pond?
I think you can rehome frog spawn but live frogs?
Don't know if you can rehome frogs, but on our local Streetlife there has been some people asking for frog spawn for their ponds as apparently their frogs caught some disease or other last year, so they have no frogs this year .... Never known a bunch of people to be so enthusiastic about frogs !Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...
..one size fits all... and nobody minds if you give it back.☆.。.:*・° Housework is so much easier without the clutter ☆.。.:*・°SPC No. 5180 -
Good Afternoon
Glad you are feeling ok BQ I was looking for Malc's posts yesterday but I think he's done a runner
We have got rain today started around 11-30am0 -
There is lots of bad advice on s75, including this very site.
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1974/39/section/75
75 Liability of creditor for breaches by supplier.
(1)If the debtor under a debtor-creditor-supplier agreement falling within section 12(b) or (c) has, in relation to a transaction financed by the agreement, any claim against the supplier in respect of a misrepresentation or breach of contract, he shall have a like claim against the creditor, who, with the supplier, shall accordingly be jointly and severally liable to the debtor.
(2)Subject to any agreement between them, the creditor shall be entitled to be indemnified by the supplier for loss suffered by the creditor in satisfying his liability under subsection (1), including costs reasonably incurred by him in defending proceedings instituted by the debtor.
(3)Subsection (1) does not apply to a claim—
(a)under a non-commercial agreement,
(b)so far as the claim relates to any single item to which the supplier has attached a cash price not exceeding £100 or more than £30,000 or
(c)under a debtor-creditor-supplier agreement for running-account credit—
(i)which provides for the making of payments by the debtor in relation to specified periods which, in the case of an agreement which is not secured on land, do not exceed three months, and
(ii)which requires that the number of payments to be made by the debtor in repayments of the whole amount of the credit provided in each such period shall not exceed one.
(4)This section applies notwithstanding that the debtor, in entering into the transaction, exceeded the credit limit or otherwise contravened any term of the agreement.
(5)In an action brought against the creditor under subsection (1) he shall be entitled, in accordance with rules of court, to have the supplier made a party to the proceedings.
http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWCA/Civ/2006/268.html
For all these reasons we are satisfied that an agreement under which a card issuer makes credit available to the cardholder for use in connection with transactions occurring under a four-party structure falls within section 12(b) of the Act with the result that connected lender liability attaches to transactions entered into by the cardholder pursuant to it.
For these reasons we have reached the conclusion that connected lender liability under section 75 of the Act attaches to all transactions entered into using credit cards issued under consumer credit agreements regulated by the Consumer Credit Act 1974, whether they take place within a three- or four-party structure and whether they are entered into in the United Kingdom or elsewhere. We therefore allow the appeal and dismiss the cross-appeal.
Thanks for that info henrik - a really interesting case.
As a layman, my take on that (and I read through a lot of it, but am not a lawyer) is that a credit card transaction made via PayPal would be a 4-way transaction, and would be within the spirit of the legislation so would be covered ?0 -

Once you've done 2 rows is easy after that!
I'm having one of those days where so far I've smashed an empty jar, a little bottle of vanilla extract and nearly my car  I just dropped off the 3 cakes I made and some stupid !!!!!! sped out of a side road without looking, smashed the back of the car of front, who then spun round and hit oncoming traffic, then that car rolled to a stop into my front bumper and scratched it. I felt so sorry for the latter 2 cars being driven by an elderly gent and a young lady, they were proper shaken up. The beardy git that started it all, didn't seem to care and tried to blame them  Pretty thankful everyone was ok. After that I dropped off said cakes and some cyclist decided to lock their bike against the driver door wedging it so much it scratching my door, so I had to climb in via the passenger side. Some days I give up with humans :rotfl:
Sounds like a nightmare day, but thank goodness you're ok.Good Afternoon Ladyshopper
Well done on the weight loss :T:T:T
Thanks tweets, I'm slowly catching you up!
Bit worried about the next 2 weeks when I'm away at the police rehab place as I won't be able to low carb (as a veggie its just too limiting) so will just have to try and be sensible, but that doesn't usually work for me! :rotfl: Will be upping the exercise though,as thats the point of going, so we'll see.0 -
