    Its a big cupboard where the hot water tank lives, it has shelves above the tank so used for storing the likes of tea towels, sheets, towels etc.:)

    Oh right now I'm ashamed because I was brought up knowing a cupboard was called a press :o but I've lost all those foilbles now I'm anglicised :D :rotfl:

    I had a vision of you putting your tea towels in a trouser press like contraption for tea towels. I'll shut up now :o

    Reminiscent of a visit to a lovely little quaint cafe with a good friend for breakfast (late breakfast) the cafe filled up with early lunching pensioners as we were eating our bacon butties. The elderly lady on the next table declared whilst perusing the menu 'I had a lovely spotted !!!! (short for Richard) the last time I was in here' probably a had to be there moment but lots of childish stifled giggles from me and my friend.

    Nice memory :o :rotfl::rotfl: :D

    I think you need to have a spotteddick. I nearly had a Pineapple Upside Down Pudding the other day from M - saw that, for the first time:rotfl: - in an M and on 'tempting' offer of £1 - okay, it's a normal standard offer and usual 2x110g but going for it very occasionally indeed isn't too bad:money: - but it was getting to closing time and time beat me to it before I could go back. So, I just left the store without remembering to go back and get it - but, not to worry - I avoided the tempter:rotfl::D:rotfl:!

    EDIT: Pineapple Upside Down is on msm - it's not available in A though so maybe that's why I didn't have it - no 10%? Or maybe it's just because the 220g weight thing and £1:eek: for that is a bit much - much bigger frozen puddings eg. are available that work out cheaper. It probably is available in my own main Ms - I just haven't noticed it before probably for those reasons. So, more opportunity to have to resist it later:rotfl:!

    Oh Savvy how clever of you to join the two words together so they don't get censored :D :rotfl::rotfl:

    I'd stick with your pineapple upside down cake. Got to be safer than a spotteddick. I had to type that just to see if it worked for me too :rotfl::rotfl:

    They call it an airing cupboard but it is a flaming hot press :D:D

    Also used for ripening pears :)

    It was only the airing cupboard when we had visitors. Many a pear was forgotten about, not a good smell.

    We used to put conkers in ours to dry them out.

    Flipping heck! I only have three tea towels......... I think I need to buy some more!

    :D:D:D:D:D

    Is £1.50 for three tea towels a good price and, more importantly, can anyone actually find any?

    I think I need some forks - don't know where they've gone - I've got lots of spoons and knives somehow - we've got forks but not enough. I didn't buy any cutlery when last on offer in M as I was resisting it - but think I need to get some forks next time they go down in price.

    I have no idea how much they cost as I think it is over 20 years since I bought any (and these were in a sale). I really ought to buy some, but I still have 3!!
