  • Got the outfit for the christening! :D

Shouldn't have to spend a penny more now until I get paid next, other than my phone bill and my next tattoo removal treatment which is on my last day at work before my holiday so no need to spend out more to go out of my way travelling up there.

The charity shop bag is still here and will be until our new uniform at work comes in. We have to wear our own black clothes right now and this is the first time we have had a uniform. I have several black shirts for work and I won't need all of them once the uniform comes so I will keep the 1 or 2 that I haven't even worn yet and the worn ones can go to the charity shop.

Got a bomber jacket too as I have wanted one since they first came into work about a month or 2 ago and I will start wearing it once it starts to warm up outside.

Making good headway on my cosmetics I'm trying to use up, although I completely forgot to do anything hygiene related last night as my bf and I went to the pub and by the time we got back it was very late, we were very drunk and I just flopped on the bed and I was out! :rotfl:
  • Almost managed an NSD today, other than my travel(which is necessary so I wouldn't count that anyway).

Mum had one of those stickies from the mcdonalds monopoly for either 6 chicken mcnuggets or a mcchicken sandwich so I used that and then used 89p of some change that was floating around in my coat pocket for a small fries to go with it as the mcchicken sandwich alone wouldn't have been enough for me having 4 hours of work ahead.

Really pleased I haven't just blown all of my wages like I normally do. Yeah I may not have much money left but it has been on things I needed such as I withdrew my travel money in advance and I am using it only for travel, I have given my parents rent money, and I bought the few items I needed to get on Friday and yesterday so I shouldn't have to spend any more in shops now anyway.

Debating whether to move my tattoo removal apt to the week after where it's at right now as I will have been paid again by then and will probably go to the city to have a browse and do some shopping anyway as my bf and I are looking for days out while I'm off :)

Don't take this the wrong way as I'm sure you deserved a night out but how much did the night at the pub cost on Friday?

I'm asking because if you want to sort out your finances and perhaps start saving you're best to think of really cheap things to do when you have time off. Going to the city and doing some shopping (for what?) could prove expensive.

Any news on BF getting a job?:)
  • Hi maman.

Let me start by thanking you for consistently checking in on me to see how I'm doing. It's making me feel I have to do this now, else otherwise I'll let you down! :D

I withdrew £20, as did my bf, then in his drunken state of mind he withdrew a further £10 for food while walking home :rotfl:

Well, every time I say I'm going to go shopping, I in fact end up spending no more than £10 - £5 for the train and £5 for some lunch!

Not yet, his line of work don't seem to be hiring right now which is a shame, but something will come up, we both have a lot of friends and family keeping their ears open also :)
  • My parents tapped into another tin of fruit over the weekend, not sure exactly when as I have been busy working and sleeping :rotfl:

Had to lend them some money out of my travel money this morning for our dogs medication but they'll get that back on the insurance and I have been promised it back when I need to actually use it for travelling.

Just waiting until tomorrow for my phone bill to come through. In the past, even though it says my bill is generated on the 18th of every month, it shows a nil balance until the 19th, where it then shows me my balance for the last month and prompts payment, but this time it's showing me a different balance to what I paid last month and underneath in a green box it has a tick and says 'payment received - thank you' but I haven't paid it, and I'm going on the past that it isn't actually ready until the 19th, so unless someone has paid my bill for me I'm not going to assume that until I look again tomorrow morning.

Well done, Gemma, your enthusiasm for this is infectious!

It's amazing how much starting small gets you going and how getting out from under the clutter is a weight off your mind and encouragement to keep things tidy.

Good to hear your parents are on board. If they need to borrow from you they'll benefit from eating what's in the storecupboard and freezer and buying a minimum too. Are you just decluttering your own room or the rest of the house too? Anything to eBay?
  • Haha thank you kboss! I am really enjoying myself! :D

I'm starting on my own room for now maman otherwise I'll feel I've taken on too much, get overwhelmed and give up :rotfl:

Talking of ebay, I do have a tablet that just sits in the bottom of my bag unused, and I feel I want to sell it(as I'm not using it) but its on a contract with my phone and I'm paying monthly for it, so even if I did sell it and got some cash out of it, I'd still be paying each month for it, you know?
  • Oh, and as for the phone bill dilemma yesterday, I checked again this morning and it was just a glitch on the website.

Bank account is now £56 lighter :(
  • Also just moved my tattoo removal apt to the following week of when I was meant to have it done as I just can't afford to do it all this month :(

The only money I have left now is for travel and drinks at the christening
