Just managed to get my bf to finish off the tiny bit of peanut butter that's been sat in the cupboard for weeks. He had it on toast.
For lunch we are going to use up the rest of the tuna, sweetcorn and salad cream mix I made the other day in sandwiches.
Also used up my bag of cotton balls that have seemed to last forever using my cream cleaner and toner this morning. I can now move on to the first pack of cotton pads I bought years ago! :rotfl:0 -
You really sound like you're on a roll! Well done!
It can be quite addictive using up stuff from the cupboards and freezer. It should save you money too if you're determined only to buy absolutely essential ingredients just like you did with the Bolognese.:T
I have an inventory for my freezer too. Every week before I go shopping, I write a simple meal plan based on what's in the freezer/fridge/cupboards and then write the shopping list with only essential extras. Going food shopping just once a week and sticking to the list helps too as you're less likely to impulse buy on things you don't really need.
I think the body oil is meant to be smoothed on to damp skin after a shower to moisturise it. It should soak in quickly. I'd keep it for when you have a bit of time to pamper yourself rather than everyday use when you might be in a hurry.0 -
Thank you maman I feel like I am progressing really well!
Mum is doing a dinner from the freezer and cupboard tonight - sausages, chips and beans!
Yeah I think so as well now you mention it. I'm trying to use my creams and stuff up now before it gets too hot as I find my skin just gets sticky if I use a cream when it's 25 degrees! I have a little talcum powder left for summer that I want to use if I feel I need it if it's very hot.0 -
Mum, bf and I just used up a half bag of chips from the freezer, 3 rashers of bacon that were left from a meal my brother cooked for his gf the other night, the tuna mix from the other day and a stray burger that was in the freezer from last week when mum miscalculated how many she needed to cook :rotfl:
Also dug out these 3 glass jars with handles, lids and straws I bought in B&M last year from behind the bread bin (???) washed them and I'm going to use them as decorative holders for things in my room. The straws and lids have been put away in the drawer for now and the jars are in a primark bag with some other things waiting for me to get crafty with them0 -
Just packed away my bf's car stereo header unit that was on my desk - he won't be needing that right now seeing as he doesn't have a car at the mo!
Moved some of the important notes from a few scruffy bits of paper onto 1 piece of paper, folded that neatly and stored it somewhere safe and ripped up and binned the scruffy paper.
Also put all of my bf's model paints, brushes, glues etc that were filling up my desk space into this giant zippy bag I nabbed off mum and stashed it away with all the other modelling bits.
Just need to wipe my desk down now but before that I'll try and get bf to finish the half completed model ship that's sat on it so I can move it to put on display and have even more desk space back :rotfl:0 -
Sorted out the mountain of assorted product boxes on top of my wardrobe. 3 shoeboxes for the next bonfire, and 2 smaller ones inside my pc box got rid of which actually made quite a lot of space to put some of the other boxes I wanted to keep in there and put them in neatly.
Tomorrow I'm going to go through a plastic storage box and try and source the parts from online I need to repair my R/C ScoobyThen I can put it all back together, not have bits of R/C car lying around and bin all the half ripped bags holding various parts :rotfl:

You're inspiring me to have a sort out - thanks. I have so much make-up and toiletries that need using it's ridiculous.
But I am a bit of a hoarder, I have a collection of winnie the pooh pencil cases from school 20 years ago but I can't bring myself to throw them away. What is wrong with me?!
I might try to throw away (or use up) 20 items a week until I have less !!!! in the house.0 -
Hahaha yeah it soon builds up doesn't it?! I'm amazed at some of the stuff I've found in our kitchen cupboard after pulling out something that i had down as using up to get rid of it! It's like it never ends! :rotfl:0

Made a start to using up the various tins of fruit and the box of powdered custard last night after tea. Half a tin of pineapple left over so going to finish that off after tonights tea(with some more from the box of custard), which will use up the packet of stuffing mix from Christmas and the bag of frozen sprouts also from Christmas :rotfl:
Just had to bin the last of the big prawns we had in the freezer that I took out and put in the fridge to defrost for people to nibble onMakes a space in the fridge and gives us the bowl back though I guess

Tinned fruit is really good to make into smoothies if you have a decent blender, and you could maybe add some of the ice cream you need to use up, plus any frozen fruit you might have, and fresh stuff that might be a little past its best.
I have a few cheap nail polishes that I love the colour of but they take forever to dry and look terrible after a day. Recently I bought an amazing 2 step nail varnish that really lasts and I wanted to test whether the top coat would make my cheap varnishes last better so last night I tested this out. I can confirm that while it's much better, looks really shiny and has more volume, it just doesn't look as good so all my cheap polishes are going in the bin.0
