How many have trade plates without trade insurance?0 -
You should have sold the car before the insurance ran out. Now you are a distressed seller and will have to reduce the price to get a quick sale or allow for it being SORN'd (if you can take it off the road that is) or pay for more insurance. It's a pain and too much red tape these days re. car tax and insurance.
While law-abiding motorists have to jump through hoops to stay legal (and even then sometimes fail and get penalised e.g. insurance not on MID), the rogues are merrily cloning number plates and driving around without a cost or care in the world!0 -
Are you buying another car? Most insurers will let you add another car on a temporary basis pretty cheaply (I've overlapped a few times).
Without doing that, you're relying on the buyer not test driving and potentially having to trailer it away, so you're going to get little more than scrap value. You're probably best just dumping it on WBAC the day it runs out.0
