Car insurance about to run out - trying to sell - SORN?

SORN wouldn't inherently put me off, but unless I was buying a project, I'd not be buying something I couldn't test-drive - and in common with most, my own DOC cover doesn't extend to uninsured vehicles. I don't mind test-driving an untaxed car, but I like my licence too much to drive without insurance.I found somewhere off the road to keep the car. A friend's driveway (or whatever). Now can people answer the question about whether SORN will put off a buyer / give a buyer problems?0 -
to OP........
if you let anyone drive this car then the following can happen
they run a speed camera
they crash and run off
they steal the car
they get pulled for no insurance and put you in the frame
they pass an anpr camera and it shows as not taxed but still in your name (there was one of these on a lampost near me a few monhs back collecting data)
the laws have changed, for once, those that want to abide by them go in favour of people like me who possess trade insurance trade plates and of course the willingness to come to your houe sometimes and remove your overpriced car (thats why it didnt sell ):D;)0 -

Or maybe none of that happens they, buy the car and everyone lives happily ever after and no children, nuns or kittens are upset.0 -

keep all paperwork
comply with the law
then you dont have problems
because you dont create them
its quite easy0 -

do you actually understand the grief when one simple letter comes through the letterbox and you have to sort it because other people cause problems
as ive said last letter of intentions was last week in another thread, look me up you will find it,you even have to pay for the stamp to sort it and time and hope the dammed thing gets to them because even signed for isnt infallable anymore all you get is a book of stamps back from the post office once youve filled all their paperwork in
but you know all this of course0 -

Even with trade plates it won't be legal without insurance in place.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0
