As I mentioned earlier the OP could buy flights for other people

Exactly. There is a cost. If you collect points/miles seriously, you will realise it is cheaper to do it yourself, rather than become entangled in protracted deals with people you don't know.

Just keep the miles and use tesco points to constantly top them up every other year to keep the account live. You will probably need to use them at some point.

    What answers were you expecting?

I think we've covered them all.

The answer I was looking for was,"yes of course you can sell them, here is £xxx" . lol
I may have been better saying that the answer I was looking for does not seem to exist.
    Thanks anyway

You can sell them but there is a fee and 20k miles are not worth that much as the minimum you would need for a single reward seat is I believe 25k. How much were you hoping to sell for?

Are you a wine drinker? If so, why not consider spending them on wine vouchers with Virgin Wines?

    This is from their website:
    12,500 miles = £50 Virgin Wines voucher (+£7.99 delivery)
    25,000 miles = £100 Virgin Wines voucher (+£7.99 delivery)
