If the husband has been having sex with other women then the OP's health could potentially be affected. Regrettably prostitutes are more likely to be affected by stds, and the other women who the husband slept with are unknown to the OP and could also have had risky behaviour in their past.
There are lots of nasties out there, some easily dealt with and some not so much, and some, like chlamydia, that have little or no symptoms but that can have profound affects on stuff like fertility.
Hopefully a quick visit to a clinic will prove that there is nothing to worry about. I personally would want to cross it off the list of things to worry about sooner rather than later.
Skintski - you must feel like you are in a car crash at the moment. I suggest that you get as much as you can in writing or agreed in a separation agreement while your husband is still feeling guilty, as once that wears off, or someone has a talking to him, he may want more as a settlement.
