    OP - Royal Mail's redirection service is for people and businesses moving home/premises. That is why the minimum period is three months. It is not designed to intercept one stray item of mail.

    Something's being sent by a sender who will only send to the recipient's "home address".
    But the recipient wants it redirecting - at very short notice - to a different address, in another country.
    And they don't want any involvement of anybody at the original receipt address.

    Now, I'm certainly not suggesting for one minute that this is the case here, but can anybody see how this might be used/abused to facilitate fraudulent online purchases using somebody else's credit card...?
