Whereabouts in Cornwall do you usually head for?

Different parts of Devon suit different people, some are quieter, some lively, some suit families, others the older people. Some places can be full of similar holiday makers, people looking for a evening social life, they head out with their kids at 8pm. Other places all but shut down by 9pm. You need to say what you are looking for in order to get a real recommendation. Always lived here, love it !

i can recommend North Devon as i live there. fantastic beaches are saunton, woolacombe, putsborough, croyde. lots of attractions if the weather isn't very good. The "Ruda" holiday park is great for a family, right next to the beach! I also think that "The Golden Sands" holiday park at Woolacombe is great. i love it here!!!:j

Can anybody recommend Welcombe? We are looking for a quiet family holiday with plenty of fresh air.

And when is the best time to go in terms of weather, is there a website where I can see past statistics for Jun/July/Aug?

    Thanks

We're planning to go to Cornwall for our honeymoon in June. Probably a couple of nights eachin about three different places. We'd like to visit the Eden Project, Launceston railway, Par, and Penzance. Can anyone recommend hotels or B&Bs? Don't want to spend the earth, but as its our honeymoon I don't wnat to do our usual thing of staying in Travellodges!

I recommend Fowey south Cornwall, great place for pet lovers as well because you can take your dog in most pubs.
www.haybarncottage.com is a good place to stay and unwind.

We just stayed at Hengar Manor near Bodmin, part of Hoseasons. They offer a just for two special offer. Some lodges have hot-tubs. Accomodation was excellent, lovely food in main building. We visited Tintagel Castle whilst there.

Is that Welcome at Dawlish? We didn't like the standard of our accommodation there at all. However, it was 10 years ago. If you do go check the accommodation age and, if old, last date of full refurbishment of that accommodation.
