Evening diary :) Busy week, out 3 nights on the trot - that's more than I normally go out in a month:rotfl: On a plus side, one was at home with friends, 2nd was a last minute change to friends as her DH was late home and 3rd night I was really poorly so didn't eat :money: at it's best

One of the builders called me back late on Friday, missed his call, will call him Monday morning. No sign from other one or another call I placed. I finally uploaded the docs I need for my mortgage appointment on Tuesday. Have been juggling figures too.

I've tried (again) to use YNAB. first signs were good but today it drive me mad. It doesn't seem to like me having money for presents and things 'saved' in a variety of pots as it seems to be really hard to 'spend' from anything that is 'saved' I'll have another look tomorrow when I'm less tired but might ditch once and for all and stick to my trusty spreadsheet that has done me well so far. I was hoping it would just help me fine tune around the edges a few pound here and there. Back to the drawing board.

Have re-commissioned a unit from the hall to the (part decorated) lounge. Looks fab, plus no longer need to find (and spend) on baskets for the unit as I can use it for display. Plus hall looks much less cluttered. Will get a lamp at some point to go on it. Will look out for ones I like but no rush.

Early night to catch up on some sleep. PF

Hi PF, sorry I've been neglecting the diary area! I'll PM you with where I am if it helps for builder recommendations.
We should be getting our first draft of the plans this week!!
Let me know if I can help on the YNAB front too - I've been using it for a month and am getting on well with it so far. It helps me over a spreadsheet with the app being so accessible.
    xx
    New total: £24,006 :(
    I will do this.

Hey HelleBelle yes please pm me your location. Yay to first draft plans :T we have some a friend did (although they need some work) but even that is exciting, even with my felt tip amends all over them.

I had to cancel my mortgage appointment has I forgot I had to work late :( it's the only time a year it's a must and I completely forgot. Boo!

Continuing my mission to de clutter - ideally making some cash on the side. Have listed 3 things on fleabay. All with watchers, 2 with bids. Our mission not to spend on food continues, used some sea bream (ys of course) and Chinese style veg and noodles for tea. Used a couple of hot X buns for snack in the day. Reminds me, I need to make some more cakes to freeze for snacks. Will put on to do list :D lardons and mince out of freezer for DH and small tomorrow on make bolegnase. I'll eat at work (they'll pay :))

Also emptied my sock drawer as I thought I needed some new ones as several pairs I'd worn recently had holes only to find a) loads of DH hand me downs in there that are way too big and b) several more offenders with holes. They have been moved to my 'make a draught excluder' pillowcase :D I also realised that I don't need anymore found a couple of pairs in decent condition lurking at the back :T

Right off to check out some more diaries.

Good evening :) another coupe of days have passed by. Thanks for popping by Brizzle and DFB35 a really busy week at work and still a day to go. Did spend two days at an amazing venue though. Nice change from office.

On debt busting /saving front I have 3 items on fleabay all will sell at weekend. Hopefully a couple more bids before then too. Moved CC3 to CC1 (that had zero balance) to avoid new interest charges. Plus it's payday tomorrow :j I've done next months budget, need to squirrel some money away for holiday spends (holiday already paid for) but that's fine, planned in.

Decorating is continuing with dining room all but under coated. Lounge next and then we can paint the final colour. Hoping that this will all be done before holiday and then we can get blinds and curtains. Flooring will come next but want the above done first.

Hope your keeping away from snow. PF.

    Happy BH weekend :hello:

So lovely to have an extra day. Really looking forward to be working 4 days for 4 months soon :D need to think about being productive on those additional days and making the most of them.

Yesterday was payday :j did the big money shuffle and money now deposited in various pots and master spreadsheet or two :o is updated. Have a target to pay off this month, which will need some assistance from selling and not overspending anywhere but that's fine. Freezer is packed and we'll only need fresh stuff as required so good cost shouldn't be too high. We've one night out planned but bought tickets last year so will just be a couple of drinks and it's in next town so again not too expensive at all.

I've bought cards and presents for the whole month, just need one gift for a present first week in June when we're away so need to get before we go. Have separate present pot for that anyway.

Have list another bag of stuff on fleabay which will end next weekend. Found 2 more to go on too whilst looking for a lost shoe (which still remains lost :() need to send back some shoes that I ordered that I don't need.

Plan for the weekend is lots of family time, plus start my 50km in may challenge that I was challenged to last night. Sounds doable and I do like a challenge. Would like to get ahead today and tomorrow. 3 mile run planned which would be 10% of target :)

I also need to sort out my drawers, would mean could a) get rid of some stuff and b) not just wear the same 5 things all the time :D also as most of it is black, it does make searching difficult :D

In fact, I might make a start on that now before my run. Even if I just do one drawer.

Enjoy the rest of your BH.

    Happy Tuesday frugal ones :D

So much is happening, what a busy few days in no particular order I have :
Paid money from 3 fleabay items to cc and posted said items
Spent an hour with DH at the gym to aim to use our membership and some quality time together. Plus we're both doing 50km in May.
Completed 22% of run challenge completed in first 3 days, plus done some additional walking in an aim to shed a few lb too. Amazing how a little effort can make a big difference.
Sorted out 4 drawers, gifted some clothes, used some in draught excluder and pile for charity shop. Founds some clothes I'd forgotten about :o
Found and bought beautiful piece for our lounge, had 25% off and collected locally :T was v reasonable and DH loved it. Funds from house pot
Ordered 4 blinds whilst sale was on. Used £co for cash back and got additional discount code which meant one blind was almost gratis :D
Used loads of leftovers from kitchen/ freezer (will need milk and a bit of fruit tomorrow though) used a recipe from girls called jack blog. Was v impressed. Used a couple of cheap small Easter eggs still lurking in fridge for chocolate element
Dried 3 loads of washing outside today in the sunshine :T

In house news, dining room all now painted white, ready for colour, plinth ready for curtain rail. Lounge 80% done, hopefully DH will get good run at it tomorrow :T AND the builder is coming tomorrow :T:T:T:T:T I'm so excited. Not sure why it's taken me so many months to call him - was very easy ;) hopefully the number is right :D off to do some final updating of spreadsheets before bed. Goodnight. PF.

So today was busy at work, had to bring some work home. Was mainly because I worked a shorter day but never like doing it. It's done now, although the smallest small doesn't seem to want to go to sleep. I hope she does soon as it's an early start and I'm off to London tomorrow so it'll be like a military operation in the morning.

Not much to report except the builder came :T he was v impressed with the plans we have drawn (even with my scrawls on them :rotfl:) he is going to give us details in the next couple of weeks. Let's hope we can get this sorted and ready to go asap. I was impressed with him too, liked what he had to say. Will obviously get other quotes but it's a start.

In other news I've got £1.51 pending in from £co tomorrow. Every little helps and all that :rotfl: right off to do a pad and then bed. Night all. PF.
