  • Batch 2 of muffins made :o totally forgot I didn't have any white sugar as trying to extend shopping out but had already started so used some soft dark brown sugar instead. Apart from a caramel colour taste exactly the same :D

Realised tonight that a formula in my spreadsheet was wrong :( not the end of the world but explains something that was puzzling me for a few weeks

Have been playing around with an alternate budget for a possible scenario, I do love a good spreadsheet :rotfl:

Managed to do a couple of surveys so £6 and a sample coming my way. Have been invited out on Thursday for a meal, think I'll decline as money tight until payday and I haven't sold anything extra this month to bump up the coffers. Will decide tomorrow.
  • Didn't go out last night, so saved some pennies there. I had already arranged to meet 2 friends for breakfast this morning anyway, so wanted to save pennies for that. Friend paid mine in the end anyway as she owed me a few quid for something so all good there. Food spend has been minimal this week which has been good, going to try and stretch for a few more days and then just do a shop of what we actually need for planner, it's working well for us.

requested £6 surveys and have reached payout on pr0lif1c too once cleared. Found something else to go in fleabay bag, just need to get them listed, don't know why I procrastinate this so much as it never takes so long in reality. May do some tonight as DH is on overtime, so will be going to bed at 6.

Managed another 5k run yesterday and will try for another Saturday and Sunday or might do a 3k one locally on Saturday so it's quicker.

Right, need to pop out for a meeting at work, will check back later to read some other diaries.

Busy weekend, but some real good quality family time which is priceless :) I have also managed to list 17 items on fleabay and 3 on a selling page and said a friend of a friend can have a large clunky car seat that DD has grown out of, I wouldnt be able to sell it as they just don't sell due to change in legislation.

Had a lovely afternoon out at local NT place, used membership and treated ourselves to hot drink and a biscuit. Used new bank card to get 5% cashback on contactless as its the start of the new month

I'm excited for tomorrow to see how much interest/cashback new account has gained this month, will be moving it to savings howeve much it is.

New mortgage amount should finally go out tomorrow nearly 6 months after first talking to bank, wow. If it doesn't will need to contact them to complain as the new rate started 7 weeks ago.

I've prepped tomorrow's sc pork stew, used last of carrots, parsnips and onions and a random peeled potato left from lunch today. Pearl barley and herbs already in Sc so I'm good to go in the morning. As root veg drawer is now empty I've taken opportunity to take it out and clean it :)

I've liberated 2 more beauty products I found in a basket from when we cleared out bathroom last year to have new one fitted. Eked another day out of my cleanser too :D

Managed a 2.5k, ran locally to save time. Was my fastest ever at that distance which was pleasing, particularly as I've not run on the road for ages (or an awful lot at the gym tbh :o) hoping for another tomorrow. Need to pluck up the courage at some point to either a) do the lap twice or b) do a different route maybe on Thursday when I have a bit more time.

Have been recommended another builder so will call him tomorrow as we've both agreed the porch quite is just way to high but we do want to get it done. A second opinion would be appreciated.

Going to chill in front if to for an hour before bed. I have control of remote as DH is out :T

Bleugh! Another month of a bleak bank account with a week left until pay day. Nothing terminal but would like it to be more. On a plus note I've cashed £6.12 out of pr0lif1c and moved £8.57 interest from new high interest current account that I've maxed out on.

Bid on one item on fleabay, fingers crossed on rest. Got loads of day job work done today and smallest small is already asleep so may take opportunity to try and be productive and finish accounts so I can do tax return sometime soon.

Man coming about carpet Monday, aim to have all done before Christmas which would be lovely.

Morning diary land. Lovely evening planned in with family, will cook so going to pop to Chinese supermarket to get a few things to go with what I already have. Need to get butter whilst I'm out so I can bake biscuits for a friend whose had a baby

Moved £5.72 from surveys to isa. Still only have 1 item with bid on fleabay but a few more with watchers so am hopeful for a bit of activity this weekend.

Have finally decided on bunk beds for smalls, so will try and get these ordered this weekend. Cashback definitely available for mattress site too :T

This week will be about spending as little as possible until Friday payday. But after Chinese supermarket today should only need bread and milk on Wednesday or Thursday so shouldn't be too bad.

Need to review a couple of policies this week and then none until new year.

Washing already outside, probably won't dry entirely but I've managed a few loads dry this week, which is definitely good for mood :D

  • What a fab few days. Loads done, where to start - in no particular order:

Used stuff from stores to make muffins and waffles for breakfast guests
Made hobnobs rather then buying biscuits
Used left over cheese sauce and a bit of cauli for cauli cheese rather than throw bits away
Chosen carpet and laminate for through room downstairs
Bought bunk beds and 1 matress for them. Left DD needs new matress too but will wat until new year and use old one for now. Cash back from both sites
Ordered pillows and new duvet through click and collect so I could get cashback too - money from house piggy.
    Been for two runs
Friends came over and I made Chinese rather than order in :D fab tip from MSE friend about duck that went down a storm
Have re hung old curtains rather than buy new yet (plus I can now picture them better to sell :o)
Have taken down DD built in 'wardrobe' AKA mdf screwed to a frame over 60s wallpaper and big hole in wall. Made loads of space and allowed us to declutter a chest of drawers that was inocomplete and it's contents
Decided to buy matress only for our bed rather than a new bed, there is nothing wrong with the base (apart from being scratched by the cat) and if we get a new one he might just scratch that too.
Dried about 5 loads of washing on line in sunshine/breeze
Moved gifted sofabed into our lounge and moved out old one, found out council will collect old one for free:T
    Sold 6 things on fleabay

Whilst it's been busy we have achieved loads and it feels so good getting stuff out the house we don't need. Hope everyone is ok.
