As much as I love doing it and would like to start doing it again now we have extra resource on our team, if you look back, we didn't get many nominations on the threads when we did do it so we have to weigh up whether it's a good use of our time to do it.

I think the main reason for the lack of nominations was the lack of adequate publicity.
But that is just my opinion.
Other opinions are equally valid.

When we ran it we would generally put it up as an announcement across the Forum and post it on the Forum twitter.

We could certainly put it out more often on the Forum twitter and maybe on Facebook.

Do you have any other suggestions for publicising it more if we did start it up again?

Yes, I remember that you used to use the 'announcement' system, but many people who know their way around MSE still used to say that they didn't know about 'Post of the Month'. That rather indicates (to me) that people have stopped looking at the 'announcements' (or rather they have ceased to 'register' with them) ... Perhaps because that system is used for things that many users find it of little interest to them. :think:
Have you considered using normal threads on the more popular boards, rather than in the 'backwater' that the 'Site Feedback' board has become?

I do wonder how many of your more frequent Forum users actually use twitter and Facebook. Do you have any reliable statistics on that?
