Morning Everyone. I am fairly new to MSE.
Welcome to April. Hugs to everyone that needs hugs x
Yesterday I managed to sort out my dormant on line banking account. I can now use it again. Not that I have vast amounts of money going in, but it is just useful to see what has gone in or what has gone out.
Today as I am on holiday I am going to make some cards as it has been a while .
Dumpling How wonderful living by the sea. That is something I have always dreamed of.

Much love CANDLELIGHT. I so hope MR C can get some help/treatment for his condition. As you are aware, I have been in and out of the same position as you for the last three years. I know how hard it is watching a loved one suffer. (This has prompted an update on MR TA. At the moment he is doing fine. We both feel the quarterly radionuclide therapy at the Royal Liverpool, together with the monthly inj in Leeds, are helping shrink the tumours as hoped. His last treatment in Liverpool will be May and then scans to get an update to picture)
Hugs to you both xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -

Well today the sun is up already and shining, hopefully it will be as nice a day as yesterday was.
I have just sorted out all my accounts online for the month and everything is paid and I just have to pop to the bank this morning to draw out my expenses cash for the month.
Start of a new month and the summer lies ahead of us all hopefully. next week I am off up to London with my DD for a 'posh' afternoon tea at the Waldorf-Astoria on Wednesday its part of my February birthday present so we will be people spotting I think whilst quaffing tea, sarnies and yummy cakes:):)
I am hoping to get to Selfridges as well and also a meander down Oxford Street as I have birthday cash and vouchers to spend:)
Well time for a shower and breakfast then my daily morning mile

Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Thoughts with Gers as she starts on her journey to the other side of the world, such a sad reason to have to go.
Judi.. A difficult and stressful period for you.
Candlelight....a difficult time for you too.
All three of you are in my thoughts just now.
It looks like we may have another sunny day, it's quite bright. Yesterday was lovely, I was able to just wear a light jacket for my trip to the quilt group.
The two who are causing problems were not there, I got full support for the ladies who were. I hope things will settle down a bit.
OH off for his INR and we have a journey into Leicester to get. Heart monitor fitted for a 48 hour reading, see if they can capture anything. I need to do the sitting room before we go.
Busy weekend, tomorrow OH has to get a tooth out and Sunday we have to take the tape back.0 -
Morning all
Hugs to Gers, Judi & Candlelight.
Hubby has been dropped at work with his packup, the fish have been fed.
I've had the car cleaned, been to the butchers and collected a click and collect from Mr T.
I babysat for DD2 last night so didn't get to bed until gone midnight again and was up and worrying from 5.
I also had a meeting with DD2's social worker that left me seething, it seem I'm just not making enough effort, I need to up my game, waking DGS up every morning, washing his uniform and PE kit, taking his stuff round every morning, taking him into work with me, helping him with his homework, getting/paying for his breakfast and his lunch every day is not good enough. I need to be doing it for all the children, I need to get the 5 and 8 year old to school too. Paying for dance/gym/drum lessons and getting the children to these, having a child to stay every Friday/Saturday and babysitting the 18month old every Saturday from 11 until 3 just isn't enough!
I did ask how I was supposed to do this on top of working, her reply,' Is your career really that important?' Well no, but paying my bloody mortgage is important, maybe even essential!
So hubby and I now have to spend next week thinking of ways in which we do more to help, when we were meant to be spending a relaxing week together as hubby has a week off.
And breathe!
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Morning all,
Just popped in to wish Gers well and I see I need to send my best to Candlelight too.
I slept in my own bed last night. I was sure that nothing was going to happen overnight and was correct. My phone was by my bed and the girls at the home were given instructions to call me of any deterioration in Mom's condition.
Crept out of bed early this morning before hubby woke up. I know I wouldn't have got out the house otherwise.
Hubby is trying to be supportive by randomly dropping in food but his constant moaning is driving me batty. He misses me in the house, the dogs miss me apparently and then there's the caravan with all our possessions in standing in Devon....Then there's the time off work he rarely gets...the list is endless....Self Self, Self! He doesn't know what to do yet there's s million jobs in the house that needs doing and has needed doing for months.
Little deterioration in Mom overnight. Her breathing though regular is rapid and shallow. She's in a coma, eyes fixated. She is tiny, really tiny.
I can see she's not ready to let go.
Onwards and forwards

Oh good gracious Hester, we all know you are Superwoman, and marvel at all you do. How dare the SS say you don't do enough. I don't feel it is her place to ask whether your career is important to you, and as you say keeping a roof over your head is.
We know some of the things you do for your DDs and all your grandchildren, and I am sure there are lots of things we don't know, and marvel at how you have the strength and work as well.
If the SS feels so strongly then she should activate a care package for your DD. Surely at your age, when you thought things would be a bit easier, you are entitled to some "me" time and some peace of mind.
I feel so angry on your behalf.
Much love to you Hester

Good morning everyone. Hugs and thoughts to all in need of them.
Yesterday was reasonably productive. I filled the clothes horses with drying washing, including DH's fluffy dressing gown after it accosted me on the floor and begged for a swim.
The marmalade production line was a success - 11lbs jarred up, not counting the one that slipped out of my hands and clarted the worktops, drawfronts and floor! Am extremely thankful that it isn't wasp season just yet.
I ordered new trainers from Hi-Tec after a 60% discount code tip off in the MSE email on Wednesday- and they arrived 24 hours later. Very much impressed. There's a fairly relaxed dress code at work, so they may well end up as officewear.
Today will be about clearing the rest of the washing ,changing the beds and tackling the bathroom while catching up with my podcasts. I haven't decided what dinner will be yet - will delve deep into the freezer and dig something out for us both.
Have a good day, everyone.Surviving the ups and downs of life with DH
