Has the little so-and-so been wormed? Just a thought. Could be a hangover from when he was starving, I suppose, "there is food, I need to get it because I don't know when I will get any more" but, one would hope, he is over that stage, having had a good home for what, five, six weeks, more, now? I have lost track, sorry, mellymoo.
Is he always like this with food or is it just when he thinks someone else is going to get it? A cat who is permanently hungry, no matter how much he/she is given, could have a thyroid problem; that is the only reason I ask.0 -
It's a dominance thing I think.
It's only pickle's he wants
Little sod
He's getting a good shine to his coat
And I can no longer feel every bone to his spine0 -
Makes sense, Tomcat is a dude... and STTT's condition is a testament to your generosity and your love, mellymoo. The world needs more people like you. Dostoyevsky would approve.0

Thank you smodlet
Tigerbabies is easy to love for a feralish cat (when they have been homeless for ages and get a bit untrusting and grumpy) he doesn't half like a cuddle.
Just need him to leave the princess alone and we are there.
OH has mentioned how hard he is trying0 -

Cats protection won't help

I'm getting cat food instead of milk with what I have left won't last beyond today though

Melly I don't know if this helps, but I've been talking to some local pet rescue centres lately (through stuff at work) & a couple of them mentioned they're overflowing with pet food from donations, perhaps it might be worth seeing if there's one in your area, if you say that you've rescued some kitties (which is true) they may be able to help you out with some food??
The food bank in my tesco always has lots of pet food given too. Xx
mellymoo, I am so sorry to hear you are struggling atm. I have had a few random ideas which I sincerely hope will not cause offence as none at all is intended.
Have you asked in T*sc0's if they can let you have any free furry food? I have just called T*sc0 Customer Service and asked if their pet food donations have to go to recognised animal shelters/organisations. A lovely chap called Brian told me anyone can go into a store and ask to speak to the "Community Champion", who might be able to help, you never know till you try. You could always refer them to this thread as proof of need. I would think this would be better done in person than over the phone.
I don't suppose pebbles88 could acquire any from her contacts, as above and somehow find a way to get stuff to you? Could you collect it, if she is not too far away from you?
You seem to be an excellent baker: Could you organise a bake sale on behalf of your tiggers and let the world know via social media? That's one nutty idea... perhaps you could sell fruit cake... You could take a leaf out of Muppette's book, post videos of your tigs and ask for Crowd Funding; I believe hers was for a vet's bill.
Have you anything you can sell on fleabay/the book of faces? You could do surveys on Prolific Academic and/or other sites (check this forum for ideas) All they take is time but you have to keep checking the website every few minutes as they do not send alerts. None of these will help by tomorrow, of course. Do you have access to any credit to last until you have some money coming in? Are you in a position to look for a part-time job local to you? I think it was largely the travelling and unsocial hours that caused the problems last time, is that so?
The only other things I can think of are those I am sure you already do, since you're on here, like checking whether you can get a better deal on your utilities, etc. I don't suppose your leccy/gas account has a big credit balance on it, some of which you could get refunded? Is it worth checking or are you like me and know to the penny what your balance is at any given time? Sad, say you? Try being with nPower, say I.
I have no clue whether any of this will help but really hope you manage to figure something out soon. S x0 -
No offense caused smodlet
Nearest tescos is miles away but gonna try sainsbury
Might ask for help at the place that's helping with OHS pip appeal tomorrow.0 -
I've got food my cats won't eat. I really wish I could send you some. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
