Because it's easier to upload it to all accounts in preparation for making offers, than it is to specify individual accounts to send it to. There's nothing confidential in the document.

I just found this forum after doing a search on DWP reserve list...

I got my feedback today and am on the reserve list for the Manchester area. I only put three choices down though, so that might be bit limiting I guess.

I wondered whether being on the reserve list helped with applying for other CS vacancies of the same level.

i also applied did the test had an interview in leeds and then got an email yesterday saying:-

You’ve reached the required standard but we’re unable to offer you a job immediately.
We`ve placed you on a reserve list from which future appointments may be made.
The reserve list will last for 6 months from the date of this email.
If you don’t hear from us by this date we haven’t been able to offer you a job

so all that and still no job as its not looking good!

The reserve list only applies to this campaign and will not assist in other recruitment campaigns. However they may choose to offer you a role different from the one originally applied for, just not advertised elsewhere.

For instance HMRC did a large EO campaign and from that offered various roles. They then ran a different EO campaign for a different role, for which those on the reserve list had to reapply.

I've given up checking my civil service account so now everytime my phone vibrates with an e-mail I assume it's them!!
