Welcome Kim, what you are saying makes perfect sense. I'm aspiring to use up all my stash and not replace until I have no more like items in the stash. So far this year the only ins have been gifts and a couple of items that I'd run out of.

I have a UU from by 7 by Summer already.

UU - OPI Miss Piggy's big Number - It was so hard getting the last bits out of the bottle that I ended up making a mess of my nails and had to take it off. - Won't be replacing as I already have a very similar shade in a full size (OPI St Marks the spot).

On the good news front this is the 1st nail varnish I've finished in years, makes me feel a bit more hopeful at reducing the stash.

My mother in law's birthday is coming in a couple of months, so I'm already starting to set aside a stash for her, so far I've gotten 6 items in her box so far.

Hello!

I've been following this thread for months and thought I would finally join up and post.

I have tons of toiletries stashed all around the house and as I've started running out of space I thought I would finally address the problem!

My weakness tends to be skincare (face and body) but I seem to buy things then forget! Need to actually use them!

I will post a list later of the bits I hope to use up this month. Just wanted to start by saying hi to everyone!

Here is my PP list for April (I'm trying to use up anything that's already open first)

Elemis melting cleansing gel- Quite old. Don't think they sell this anymore. Half full
Elemis rehydrating ginseng toner 50ml- About 2/3rds left.
Elemis enzyme peel 50ml- about half full
ESPA regenerating moisture complex 55ml- half full
Liz Earle intensive mask 50ml- half full
Liz Earle super skin concentrate 10ml- about 2/3rds left
Gucci guilty EDT- sample size
Avon foot works 150ml- full
Bio-oil 60ml- about 2/3rds full (use this on my hands at night)

Hopefully with so many of my products partially used, I'll be able to do ok this month!

I love the listing the stash idea but I think I've got too much, it would take me forever. I might do a 'possible to use up soon list' I think my 110kg tub of soap and glory body butter is going to be buried with me, I'm sick of the sight of it.

On another note, I was trying so hard to slap everything on my face and get rid that I've had an allergic reaction. My face is itchy, red blotchy and tight and I've used so much stuff recently I dont know what has caused it. Slapped some E45 on- Better stick with that for a while, maybe I'll at least use that up :rotfl:

One little UU to start April.
1. Vichy Idealia Smoothing and Illuminating Cream 5ml sample. WMB. Used this as a night cream this week and really liked it. Generally quite impressed with Vichy products.

Also 3 TAs. All spot treatments. I went through the skincare basket I keep out on my chest of drawers and these had been gathering dust they've been sitting there that long! Not because I haven't had any spots, unfortunately, but because I've learnt to just leave them alone. I conceal when necessary and keep them clean and dry the rest of the time.

Went through my candle drawer as well today and rediscovered my wax melts/tarts. I haven't been using them for a while so I've dusted off my wax burner and started a Flamingo Candles Dahlia wax melt alongside the Ikea floral candle I've got on the go. As long as I can find complementary scents, I'll use this two-pronged attack on the candle drawer for a while. Forgot how good the scent throw is on the melts. I am much better with candles than I was but it is still a weak spot. Luckily TK Maxx haven't had a good selection for a few months. I do use them everyday so I get through them but I probably still have more than necessary. Does anyone else count candles in their challenge?

Got to go to Lush tomorrow to get my sister's birthday presents. Wish me willpower!

Deleted_User - I have a lot of candles too, I haven't bought any for a while and am trying to use some up as they are taking up a lot of room.

I find this too with the minis in that what's left goes on patchily or I've found that the brush gets battered. Well done on finishing it. X
