3 ins and 6 GA
hate to be an enabler but tk maxx is selling rodial skincare at a third of the original cost. i resisted but it was interesting to see. maybe it might be of use to someone who likes this brand.0 -
I only had 6 use ups in March but some of them were LHJs so I was pleased with them. Aim for April is 10 as I've got a few things that are very close to being finished.
For my 7 for summer, I'm going to focus on make up again, some are rolled over from the spring challenge!
1. MAC blusher in well dressed. This really must end soon, it looks like there's only one application left but it just keeps on going and going!
2. L'Or!al true match pressed powder
3. Chanel lipstick in shade boy
4. Prescriptives powder foundation
5. No7 brown eyeliner pencil
6. Clinique superprimer face primer
7. No7 high shine lip crayon in daydreamer.0 -

ThankyouI'm tucked up in the staff bedroom currently watching telly with my iPad. I've finished my actual working shift bit until the morning then I finish at lunchtime tomorrow. I'm now on the part of my shift where I'm sleeping in, and I'm just paid a retainer for being over night with a couple of residents in an independent house for learning disabilities "on call". Worked 7-11 then I have 11-7 sleep in, and then I work 7-12
let's hope there are no problems with my two residents over night. They are normally fine, only ever have had to get up when they were in pain (in which case I'll contact main home to get the nurse to bring over painkillers and give them) or when they were crying (last time one of my residents had lost a pet of hers and understandably was devastated
). It's mostly that I'm here with them in case of emergency - fire, illness etc and I'm also on call if anything happens in the main home.
Not working on a sleep in until Thursday night now so might get a chance to have a bath instead of a quick shower. Might UU a few more face masks too. I seem to be accumulating them faster than they are UU  I swear they are breeding in that drawer!!
I have an IN I forgot to declare earlier. Loreal elvive extraordinary clay pre shampoo mask sample sachet , this was in cosmopolitan magazine that I picked up. I did look at Marie Claire but they didn't have the neals yard hand cream I was after (peppermint & bergamot) in the asda I was in. I'm planning on looking in other stores next time I'm in town shopping. I already buy a lot of magazines anyway (my other downfall!!) so they are nice bonuses. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018

I have an idiot question: As the subject of the challenge is not buying *unnecessary* products, should regular use items that are restocked as a matter of necessity really be counted as INs?? I'd only count stash and stock things. What say you?Elizabeth

As quite a few people seem to be using up nail polish and I see Youtuber's doing Project Polish challenges I decided to do my own. I have selected 5 mini bottles of nail polish and I will use only those, when one is finished I will replace it with another mini bottle of the same type of shade until all my minis have gone. That's the plan anyway but I am very fickle with nail polish.
The colours I have chosen are:
Nails Inc Westminster Abbey - a gold shimmer
Nails Inc Portobello - orange
Ciate Shooting Stars - a mushroom/nude
OPI (a bubblegum pink from the Minnie collection0
OPI (dark, electric navy blue)
I used the OPI dark blue on my toes last night.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I count most items but it depends on individuals, I don't count make up, toothpaste or cotton wool as I don't stash them but do count other thing i stash such as shampoo, shower gel e.t.c it is up to you what you count.
INs
60 mediheal sheet masks from kmall24. I do pay shipping but they are super quick as they were ordered on Wednesday of last week.0 -

I don't think there are strict rules about how to do this challenge, everyone does something slightly different as to what suits them. I have a list of product types I'm "in balance" with, and a list with a goal amount I'm trying to reduce to.
Once something is in balance I don't bother recording INs unless they take me over my goal amount. For example mouthwash is in balance. I made up that I'm allowed two. One in use, one for spare. When I use up a bottle of mouthwash I would put the spare out, put it on the shopping list and buy another spare, but I wouldn't record that here. If I suddenly went crazy and bought four mouthwashes I would then report that as an IN because it took me over my "allowed" amount.
I sometimes think I take it a bit too seriously but I like having a guideline I can stick to. Some items (like hair treatment I use every now and again but not everyday) my in balance number is just one. Other things, like eyeshadow, I want more choice but not so much it takes up loads of room in my dressing table.
Sorry, bit long-winded there. Basically, you can choose. If it's helpful to declare the INs for restocking, go for it, but if you don't want to, don't worry.Grocery Challenge £114.22/ £1100 -
Thanks for starting us off Gemzie.
I went on holiday over easter hols and finished up some stuff while I was away.
UU:
sensodyne toothpaste
Lush Montalbano shampoo WBA - this is a HG product for me, love love love the smell, and it cleans my hair so well.
Some INs to declare
I finally bought my Issey Miyake perfume (of which I had absolutely none because I was saving up to buy it). I'm going to move that to in balance.
I might have had a weak moment in LUSH and bought a Bunch of Carrots bubble bar but I'm very excited to use it!
On holiday I ran out of the make up remover I'd decanted so I bought some Pure cleansing wipes but ended up getting two packs as they were buy one get one free.
So I'm gonna do my start list for April from today as I've already bought those things anyway.
Things I'm in Balance with: :j
Mouthwash
Toner
Face moisturiser
Face exfoliator
Skin Blemish treatment
Serum
Body Exfoliator
Deodorant
Cooling body spray/mist
Foot spray
Foot cream
Lip Scrub
Concealer
Perfume
Lipstick
Nail varnish remover
Eyeshadow Primer
Shampoo
Conditioner
Hair treatment

I'm definitely getting closer. I've upped my goal amount of soap to six. I did have it down as five but I feel like six is more realistic for me. That's one in the shower, one by the bath, one by each of the three sinks in the house, and one spare in the cupboard.
I think I'm gonna try to use up some of the hand cream on my feet. I hardly ever use hand cream because when I moisturise my feet (which I do nearly every day) I get loads on my hands, so they feel moisturised too. But hand cream is one of those things that people buy me because they know I do a lot of gardening.Grocery Challenge £114.22/ £1100 -

I am in the process of rationalising and cataloging my nail polishes:o I know that I am a sad case:p, I buy them as much for the fact that I love colour and this is a relatively inexpensive way of doing so. If I could paint I think that paints would be my weakness. I rediscovered my bag of minis the other day and like you Dolly, I think that I will select some to UU too.
Nails today are Nails Inc Kale Westbourne Park Road another cafe au lait/taupey shade, it covered well in 1 coat so I keep topping it with Nail Envy to see how long it will last:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
One UU this weekend-
Steamcream - Used to be a HG I've bought it at least 5 times now. But it seems to go off very quickly. I only got this for my birthday in August and it had a plasticine smell about it already. The date on the tub said July 2016, one year isn't very long a shelf life and I think that only counts if you dont open it. Used up on my feet. WNBA.It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'
