  • Hmm why didn't I think of a spatula of some kind before?! Kicking myself now! :rotfl:

I will have a hunt when I go downstairs to make my snack for work, there must be something in one of the drawers or cupboards! :D

Ahhh not just me then! Makes me feel better hearing it from someone else now :)

I love these body butters too.

Me three the cocoa butter one is HG, it smells gorgeous.

    One little UU this morning:

Aveeno moisturising lotion sachet 10ml- Wnba as full size. Nice enough don't get me wrong, and really good for dry skin but my skin isn't particularly dry unless I've been in the bath for ages (and then I prefer body butters). If my skin was very dry then it would be a WBA, but I found it too heavy and took ages to rub in for me.

Also, is it just me or if anyone here has, like, more than 1 or 2 of the same item, say 3 or 4, do you line them up in order of when they were bought so that you use them up in the correct order so to speak thus minimising the chance of anything going bad? I have 5 shower gels(2 of which are the same brand just different scents so they are side by side as I alternate between them) which are lined up in order of when I got them, the oldest which needs using up are closest to me while stood in the shower then the newer ones behind in order of when I bought them going back to the wall.

^^^ That sound very OCD now I've put it down in writing! :rotfl:
I have a rough idea of what the oldest things in my stash are but I have hoarded ridiculous amounts and some things gave slipped through the net - a shower gel lost its fragrance when I came to use it recently, and I found a forgotten hand cream that had gone off the other day. I do try to use things up that are oldest first, but then I couldn't wait to use the dove shower dream my mum bought me last week and have just replaced the UU one with it so not doing so well at that this month :rotfl:. Really I should have got an older one out to use but I couldn't wait to try it. I am trying to UU the body butters etc first that are older or look like they could go off, or that are partially used. I am particularly careful with dated stuff though (lush etc) for example I use the one that is nearest its use by first (such as shower jellies and lip scrubs from lush that I have a few of).
Saying that I think some of it is pot luck - I've had some quite old stuff that's been absolutely fine when I've come to it and yet newer stuff has gone off. Happens occasionally. If stuff goes off I try to use it another way - shower gels I can use to make extra bubbles in the bath if the fragrance has been lost, hand creams and body lotions that are off I'll use on my feet as I don't mind smell the r consistency if it's for my feet. Still a shame when something goes off that you would have enjoyed to use in their original purpose. I hate throwing stuff though so if I can re purpose it I will.

  • I totally agree gemzie.

Nothing worse than something that's had a lot of money spent on it and you can't even use it for its intended purpose :(
  • I also love Boots Extracts - I'm using the Almond scented set at the mo. I've almost finished it (using it to coordinate with an old Cosmetics to Go (remember them? Lush predecessors) perfume called Elder) and have another set ready.

As these are products I use regularly (along with Soap and Glory's Orangeasm), I don't count them as INS or as part of my use up. :) The perfume is though.

"there is one particular moisturiser that I really want to use up, but it's in a pot and as I have my nails done and I have them a bit longer I absolutely despise getting stuff under them! Can anyone recommend something I can use to 'scoop' it out perhaps to save my nails?"

I would use either a teaspoon or a child medicine spoon. I totally get the idea of using in date rotation. Shampoo and lip sticks going off are a right pain, it makes Sense to use up before it goes off.

It can be frustrating when stuff goes off.

Normally I forget to count wipes, but going to start now, 1 UU:

Primark deep cleansing facial wipes- WBA did the job fine, ok price.

Still waiting on my lush soaps from the lush kitchen. However I started bomb cosmetics free spirit soap tonight and it's lovely. :)

The chocolate body souffle Seems to be ever lasting, mainly because I'm not liking using it. I tried using lots on my feet but it's just stained brown marks onto lots of my socks :-/ can only get away with the smallest amount, grrrr. Desperately want to move onto something else.

I UU from PP list, takes me up to 20 for the month and I hope to use up more over the next week:

Naked Colour Calendula and Sunflower Protecting Conditioner 250ml - WDBA but I haven't seen it on sale anywhere recently so I'm assuming that it has been discontinued. This was a lovely conditioner and worked very well on my long thick hair. I love that it was 97% natural with recyclable packaging as well.

Will post an updated PP list below.

[FONT=&quot]I deleted a few items from the list that I haven’t managed to get use out of this month, and added some that are surprising nearly empties. I actually have about 10 products which are almost empty now so I hope to at least add a few to my total by the end of the month. Also you’ll see this doesn’t add up to the 20 total in my signature but I also used up some items not listed in the PP list.

  • A spoon is also a good idea savingfortomorrow, I have no idea why my mind is on such a blank lately! :rotfl:

Never had chance to look for anything spatula like yesterday, I have work again today so I'll look for either that or a spoon people won't mind not seeing for a while when I remember :)
