No Buying Unneccesary Toiletries April 2016

One little UU this morning:

Crabtree & Evelyn lavender verbena 5g hand therapy sachet- WMBA as full size tube. Didn't love the scent but didn't mind it either. It's quite nice and moisturising but I don't personally like it as much as Loccitane ones. Still ok though. Got some full size tubes of Crabtree & Evelyn hand creams to try out anyway so don't need to buy anything yet.

Was looking through my drawer yesterday and found a tube of soap and glory hand food that I'd started ages ago and forgotten. Unfortunately the scent has gone and it just smells off now plus a load of water came out so the consistency is completely ruined. I can't bear to throw it or use it on my hands so thinking of using it on my feet... Waste not want not... Don't mind an odd smell or consistency on my feet. I have another tube that is nearly finished that I've been using at work which luckily has the lovely s&g smell and is the right consistency!! Lesson learned, I've heard these go off fast so must remember to use it quickly when opened and not forget about it!!

It's the 20th April tomorrow and I know I started late but I'm not even close to UU'ing anything

I think the problem is that a lot of the things I'm trying to UU are all new or nearly new, apart from one body lotion in a pot that looks as if it's been at halfway ever since I started using it again :rotfl:

Can I continue to join in on new threads as they are made for each month? As it is imperative to me that I UU up a good portion of my products and seeing all of you lovely people posting about what you've UU'ed is inspiring!

Of course you can join in with us each month, we are hardly sticklers for rules on this thread:rotfl:.

L'oreal Prodigy Conditioner 50ml - this came with the hair colour, it was very nice as was the colour - WBA.

I currently have a colour stripper shampoo I'm working through, I use quite a bit each time as my hair is long - about a cherry sized blob at least - and the bottle still looks full. It's only a little bottle too

I have some Benefit tester face creams that are in glass bottles and I'm finding it impossible to get the moisturiser out. I have now had one of the glass bottle upside down (open) decanting into a plastic bottle since Friday and there's only a tiny bit that's left... it's really putting gravity to the test!!

Any thoughts or ideas so I can get the product out??

Yes, of course keep posting. I tend to take stock of what's being used each week when I tidy/clean the bathroom so maybe making time to take stock and notice how low you are getting with products will help you get a good sense of achievement.

Another UU :

Soap and Glory Scrub of your Life. WDNBA. I think even if I get this in a kit I won't use it. I don't like scrubs in tubes, much prefer either a pot or Porridge soap from Lush.

Repainted my nails last night with Amore at the Grand Canal. Emma "lent" me a small tube of Leighton Denny hand and nail cream and it actually did feel very soothing last night.

I also used the tarte eyeshadow palette this morning and am v pleased. Used colours called Cheers and Mint Sprig. Don't usually wear green colours but this is very light and shimmery. Even got a compliment at work.

Try using cotton buds to go round and pick up any stray product from within the bottles? If the opening at the top of the bottle is big enough of course

I do this when i get low on a product with an opening large enough to fit one finger in or larger as i have my nails done and i have them long and i despise getting anything under my nails! :rotfl:

2 more UU, before I go off to work again for the night. Already done last night so night 2 tonight... That annual leave went so quick!!

Soap & glory hand food 50ml- WBA I know this is a love or hate product with many as it goes off quickly, I've had one do this but this one was absolutely fine. I liked the original soap and glory smell. I think it was a nice consistency too, not watery, fairly thick. It wasn't as moisturising as Loccitane but I thought it was a decent everyday one. I have plenty of these in stash so no need to re purchase. This was my work one and I've replaced it with burts bees honey & grapeseed.

Tesco wake me creamy coconut & vanilla bath & shower gel 1 litre- WNBA I used this mostly in the shower as found it too drying for baths. Still found it fairly drying in the shower. It was quite watery and I found I had to use loads to get a good enough lather going. I thought the fragrance was quite weak too, couldn't smell it much. This was a LHJ as I got bored with it originally and brought it out again recently to UU as it was half used. Glad I can move onto something different now. Replaced it with the dove peony & sweet cream.

A very non exciting IN Garnier Defence 5 Sport deodrant. I was very disiplined and only brought one though to have a back up when the currnet on runs out. I mean I live 5 minutes from town and nip into town whenever I need something so I really don't need to stockpile too much:D
